nope, i did not like him or feel bad for him. however i would say that aum does do an interesting job of portraying his character whom is, like you said, a psycho pretty much. even if he has "regret" which is apparently rare in this type of lakorn his character is still unredeemable to me, however it still made for an oddly compelling watch as i found myself wanting to keep watching to see how they would juatify his actions by the plot.

How far in did you watch? I watched it a while ago so I don’t really remember if I found her obnoxious or not. I did skip her and 2nd ml’s scenes sometimes though, I will admit 🫣

Yeah! The ML was great in that but totally opposite personalities. I just mean the way the love triangle is playing out is similar. Of course there is no Yan Lin type character in Sound of the desert either lol 😂

apparently there is a turkish remake of this drama coming soon 👀

somehow the love triangle here sort of reminds me of “sound of the desert,” despite ML’s personalities being different than that drama (although 2nd lead men are veryyy similar here) it just has a similar vibe. especially since FL will clearly fall for 2nd ML first just like sound of the desert. anyone else reminded of the triangle there?

I can’t say I agree with people calling “My Dearest,” ending “fanservice.” I am glad it didn’t end with one of the leads being dead, as many predicted. There is enough death in real life, however, I wouldn’t exactly consider the ending 100% happy. GC and JH both must live in exile now, and JH seems to have a reoccurring memory loss problem due to his head traumas, If he doesn’t have it already I’d say he’ll get early on dementia very soon. Hopefully GC will just keep those rings handy and drop them when needed (if you know you know.) Anyways, RE ended up in jail, forever wondering what happened to JH, which is sad enough to me. As for Eun Ae she is stuck with a shit husband (I don’t care about the attempt at redemption towards the end, he will always be a cruel coward to me.) And FL’s father will probably forever be thinking his daughter was captured by barbarians. So all I’m saying here is that there are plenty “bittersweet” things about this ending and it isn’t exactly a disney-style “everyone is happy in the end.” Yes, the leads are together, but think about all that lost time they spent apart. If only YJ had told her sooner, like jesus christ dude, you didn’t even see his body? Anyway. This is just my opinion that even though the leads ended up together and they have each other there are still many depressing and sad things about the ending. I’m happy they got their little cottage in the woods though. ❤️
