Dreamiest, comfiest and wonderful drama !!
'Love Game in Eastern Fantasy' is literally my ultimate comfort drama.Whenever I need an escape, I just rewatch it. Following Ling Miaomiao trying to win over Mu Ziqi is such an emotional rollercoaster, but it always leaves me so happy and fulfilled.
It has all those classic Xuanhuan tropes, but it totally stands out because the character growth, acting, and tiny details are just top-tier. I know some people thought the ending was a bit abrupt, but after reading some deep-dive analyses online, it honestly makes so much sense and hits way harder.
It’s not even just about the romance; it’s so much about healing and finding yourself. Miaomiao is just a literal ray of sunshine, and watching Ziqi slowly open up and grow is everything. Their love story feels so natural—it’s not about big, cheesy gestures, but real emotional depth. Their chemistry is insane; just the way they look at each other speaks volumes. The casting was absolutely perfect. Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi completely nailed it. Miaomiao’s infectious energy and Ziqi’s character arc just felt so real. Plus, the production budget really shows—the visuals, costumes, and CGI are gorgeous and pull you right into their world.I also really loved the second leads! They were so cute and added such a fun, refreshing dynamic. Bambi was amazing as Mu Yao—she was so graceful but strong. Her relationship with Liu Fuyi was incredibly sweet and balanced out the main couple perfectly.
Even if the ending wasn’t 100% perfect, it really stuck with me, especially its message about self-love. Honestly, this show is more than just a drama—it feels like a warm hug. It’s my absolute go-to whenever I need a break from reality.

You can say whatever you want, criticize the story, age difference, loopholes, etc.But you can't deny that this drama appeals to the general public and garners high reviews because it's an entertaining story: No, it isn't realistic—it's a typical drama with a Netflix stamp on it, etc.
But the characters are likable, with redeeming qualities. The violence is not excessive.
The acting and chemistry were good. Yes, there were some cringy moments.
Only disappointed with the ending and how they twisted the reality of a g*nocide. It was not necessary and very inhumane to use such a twist.
