just curious tho, how is it an idol drama? the themes aren't related to music and none of the characters are idols?…
I classified idol drama as teen drama or dramas that catered toward the younger audiences. For example: male lead in the drama is the most intelligent, smartest, successful dude with all the girls in the college/office swooning over him. And as for Jung chaeyeon, I've only known her from produce days. Havent really watched her stuff except for this. She did well.
Didn't have high hopes because this is kinda an idol drama. But it's not bad. I enjoyed it more than the chinese drama due to the romance and shortness. But lack the family sentiment.
Edited to add this info: got too draggy. it's the same problem over and over again.
Each time I was about to feel sorry for him, I remembered he brought this on himself. He also would have continued…
Agreed. I completely rooted for the FL's choice and how she stood up for herself. I would be pissed if she didn't because it would just send a wrong message for those are actually suffering, It's just my wishful thinking in an imaginary perfect world honestly.
Haven't' watched any of Wang Yibo's works but he definitely did a good job in acting here. Looking forard to his projects. Aside from him, everyone were such good actors/actresses.
Definitely doesnât deserve the low rating (7.7 when I wrote this). For me, itâs closer to an 8.2. The actors are excellent, and this drama beautifully explores how love, marriage, and human relationships are incredibly complex. I found all the characters relatable in their own way. At times, I wished the male lead would change, and the female lead would stay, but when I think about it, thatâs really toxic, isnât it? This is a very mature drama that provides a lot of insight into real-life relationships. Highly recommended for those who are looking for mature dramas w great acting ofc.
I love the lighting in the drama - giving moody vibes. Gave a 8.0 because I feel the drama is too long for this kind of story. This story could end in 16 max 20 eps.
I usually avoid Chinese historical drama because I can't stand the cringeness and the cgi. Gave this drama a chance due to the high rating and bio that intrigued me. I loved it! No CGI, smart and strong female lead, ML that is rational and doesn't always save the FL, good actors especially the ex. Highly recommend it!
Gave a 9.0 due to the rushed ending and for that one CGI scene. (told ya I hate CGI).
The stepmom was a part of the family registery. They were married, but never intimate enough. Her duty still was…
I was thinking the same thing. How come a live-in tutor can hold that much power. And where did the mom go? Clearly the dad missed the mom, and he doesn't look like a bad guy.
jang nara and joonhan carried this show.
And as for Jung chaeyeon, I've only known her from produce days. Havent really watched her stuff except for this. She did well.

Great acting from the stars tho.
