The JOL fans always blame the delay of season 2 to both Xiao Zhan and Li Qin. They are just side characters. They want both of them to sit and wait for 3 years and do nothing while Zhang Rou Yun is busy filming multiple dramas.

I think this is legit. I really like this pairing for Season 2.

Nepotism and coming from rich family works very well in Asian Entertainment Industries. Both Mark Chao and Zhang Rouyun have infuential Dad who helps with their career. I am not saying they are not good actors, but they have a leg up compare to other actors who belong to the middle class and have no connections.
I remember watching Black and White long time ago just for Vic Zhou. He is much better looking than Mark Chao. You should spend more time in Mark Chao and Cheng Yi MDL page instead of arguing with Xiao Zhan fans.

Actors make more money from TV commercial and endorsement in Asia. Just like in South Korea, the TV actors make a lot of money from endorsements. Xiao Zhan is worth $800 Million RMB from all his endorsements and dramas. In US, more and more movie actors are doing TV commercial. Extra income for them.

The Longest Promise is a Tencent web drama. It is not connected to any TV Stations so I don't see any reason why there is a delay in releasing this drama. I don't really trust Tencent. They did the same thing with TOOL last year and everyone blames it on Hunan/Mango TV.
