I like this better and it makes sense cos in both 2023 timelines, I believe the psycho was staking out at solās house. Seonjae only died after visiting solās house in both timelines. Timeline 1: seonjae follows hyunjoo and sol home after meeting her on the bridge. Seonjae dies the same night. Timeline 2: seonjae sends sol home (where they confessed and kissed). Seonjae is attacked that night
