He's constantly reminding her that she can be whoever she wants to be because she's capable, and that she CAN express when she likes or dislikes something (unlike her father, who forced her to be someone else, forbidding what she enjoyed and denying her identity as He Yan).
For the first time, she can be herself, expressing her emotions and ambitions freely. That must be one of the reasons why she likes him so much, he's the only one with whom she feels she can truly be herself.

He is cold but helpful since the beginning, it’s hard to explain but try to watch to understand the dynamic ! It’s very good. I don’t remember when they get together but it’s more like they know their feelings for each other, without being officially together. She open up to him little by little, and they know what they represent to each other. It’s not really the same type of slow burn that in the other dramas.
This is a very good start !!! I'm waiting for the next episodes. I like the way she fight , she's too powerfull, i'm waiting for her revenge era. But please, they need to stop this kind of long jumping scenes 🤣

I totally agree with you, when a story is well written and well played you could not care less about how many episodes there are. I watched Murder ( 90 episodes) and it felt like less, i didn't even realise there were that many after watching all of it.
Lately many drama's plots have noticeable flaws, often feeling incoherent or overly rushed.. I think they should stick to a single plot and avoid trying to do too much. For example, in The Double, the plot was excellent and revolved around a single goal: revenge. There weren’t too many twists added (and when they were, they were related to the main one), which made it really good.
