Really? I had a bad feeling about her from the very first time. It was ironic when she used the word "opportunistic." I know her actions will lead to a twist later on when a certain person will step forward to help MYC, but I cannot stand looking at her. I hope they give her the minimal screen time to get to the purpose of her role.

MYC is not a bad person. I feel so bad for him and hope the show gives him some happiness by the end. He is still going to have to go through the problem that is YZ. He really just wants XQ to be happy and part of his fear is that his mother will make things difficult for her if she rebels. This is why he asked his mother to stop trying to control XQ.

I think it is significant that he asked his mother to stop controlling XQ. There are so many analogies in this show. The butterflies are symbolic of what MYC feels. I get the feeling there is so much more to how he feels about XQ than romantic feelings.

I don't know about "glorifying." I am not on Weibo or twitter so I have not seen any comments glorifying him. There was one post here that I did agree with concerning feelings of empathy for MYC as he and XQ experienced being under control of the mother. Somehow the insights into MYC as not being a bad person went off track. I also was not thrilled to see that episode 29 focused on MYC and YZ but this is leading up to what will happen later as one significant person will step in to help. I do not dislike MYC as some and when he appealed to his mother that she should stop trying to control XQ, it affirmed my opinion of him. I am not saying I want him to be anything other than a brother to XQ, but I do believe they supported each other since the day she was adopted. XQ is finally breaking away from the mother's control and if he shows any concern, it is more for the fear that the mother will hurt her. He told her that if she needs anything and does not want to ask her parents, she should not hesitate to ask him. I believe he is sincere in his concern for her well-being. I hope he will find the strength to let go of XQ and find his happiness with someone much better than YZ.

Everything you said. The signs are all there that YZ is up to no good even though she might appear nice to some. One affirmation is when she was fired from the bar because MYC's friend could see what she was doing. I don't think MYC is fooled. He suspects her of deliberately trying to get close to him.

I know what you mean! She really gets on my nerves. She is so desperate to catch a rich man she is doing everything she can to seduce him. I am not sure if he sees her intentions clearly or just going along with it.

I cannot help feeling so concerned for him when I see multi task girl playing on his feelings for the FL. I hope XQ with help him as he protected and helped her over the years. I know who helped him in the book, but I hope to see XQ be there for him and that they go back to a strong sibling relationship.

In the book she said he was not allowed to achieve any higher status. This is not the exact words. It has to do with SY's mother. The FL's father was in a relationship with SY's mother before he married the FL's mother. When she saw that SY was starting to rise in ranks, she framed him.

The photo scene definitely confirmed her intentions to play on her so-called resemblance to the FL. Everything about her character is annoying. Her reaction to the concert was an attempt to convince FL's brother that she could fit in with his lifestyle. Everything she does is calculated.

I do feel the same about the brother. I don't find him evil at all. i think his attachment to XQ is as you said, he found solace with her. I feel for him also and hope he does not give in to the multi-task girl. I thought I was the only person who felt badly for him. Thank you for sharing!

Then she shed tears during the recital as if to say she could appreciate culture and is capable of being a part of his social circle. It is because he could see she was using her looks to go after the FL's brother. He knows she is not a good person in essence. This is why he fired her.

I feel the same. The multi task girl is so materialistic. I feel badly for FL's brother even if I don't like that he wants to separate her from SY. I don't feel he is an evil person. The flashbacks show that the FL was always protected by him. I liked that he saved the stuffed animal his mother threw in the garbage.

I agree. I was rather annoyed that after she was fired and told to collect her salary, she persisted in hounding MYC by waiting for him as his designated driver.

From today's episode it was obvious that Yi Xiao was on to her. He felt she had an ulterior motive for working at his bar and fired her.
