He was not being spiteful when he made her pay. Watch their expressions closely. There is no animosity. There is a thing going on between them, and it is humorous, not hateful. I think you misunderstood his actions.

I watched the friend's wedding scene and not sure she is wearing stockings under the skirt but outdoors she wears a coat so perhaps it is an indoor event.

I didn't think her grandma's house was that cold. When she went to Yu Sen's friend's wedding, she wore a sweater and same with her friend's wedding. My legs would be cold, so I would wear stockings under a skirt with boots.
