Meng Sheng! 💗💗💗 Zhou Yi Ran has come a long way since Falling Into Your Smile. I hope to see more of him. And of course, Jing Yi has been on my favorite list since L&P, and she never disappoints. The performances and production were outstanding. Even though I would have loved to see more romance, it doesn't mean I didn't appreciate the excellent performances by all the actors.

It was heartbreaking. But I don't understand why he didn't go to Qing Yu.

His evil family made it easy for him to take the coward's way out. The aunt is the one I wanted to see pay.

This drama is filled with symbolism. Even the caged bird the mother fed symbolized the family traditions that can feel like a jail. I am sure if I watched this again, I will pick up on more as Reborn is quite thought provoking. But this is not a drama I want to rewatch. I can see the beauty in the performance and themes, and I loved the leads. But not a rewatch for me. I hope to see them together again and this time in something more romance focused.

I saw that she had second thoughts but the evil aunt made her push through with it. It is true Jinrui made a mistake. People make mistakes and I didn't sense anything evil in him. He was young and I think the aunt didn't help him see the right path. The family failed Bei.

All I am saying is, the drama didn't make me dislike him. I felt he made a mistake in judgement and I also felt the family pushed him in that direction. It is obvious he felt remorse.

I think the family steered him in that direction. It was more important to them to save the family's reputation and to hide the fact that he was adopted. He made a mistake and at the end of the drama, I still felt badly for him.

I still felt bad for him by the end. According to the drama, he didn't stand up for her because he was a coward but he admitted that. Maybe this is what set her on the wrong path but the one I blamed more was the ugly Hei guy. I can understand Qing Yu's rebellion against the family for not helping Bei. I am just saying, the dramas didn't make me dislike Jinrui enough to justice his downfall.

After watching more, I can see how the family is at fault. But Qing Yu's actions were against Jinrui, and I still don't feel it was necessary. The drama failed to make me feel he was evil and after hearing him thank Qing Yu for lifting the burden off his shoulders, it affirmed my feelings that he was not evil. He was remorseful. He made a mistake and didn't have the courage to stand up for Bei at the time.

Exactly. And in a later episode, we see what he told Qing Yu before he left. I feel even more it was not necessary to ruin his wedding. But after seeing what the aunt said about Bei deserving to die, I can see where the family deserved retribution for her death.

I just finished the broken wedding episode and I find myself so annoyed with Qing Yu. I am not saying Jinrui was the best but he doesn't appear to be evil. People make mistakes. I don't feel her actions were justified when she ruined his wedding. From what I saw of him, he has a conscience. Was this necessary?

I made it to ep 11. This might not be a popular point of view, but the drama failed to make me feel Jinrui got what he deserved. I am more annoyed at Qing Yu than I feel there was justice done. I love the leads and hope they will do another drama together, but I am not feeling any admiration for Qing Yu at this point. Maybe I need to remember she is still so young.

Had I known I would have watched FP again last month but now there are so many new dramas out. It's okay. I still remember the cozy feeling by the sizzling fire. I am ready for season 2!

I love their chemistry too and I am big L&P fan!

When I heard the mom say that some of the kids had extra sources to study so they could do better, I though maybe he gave her books she didn't have to help her. Maybe I am wrong but I felt he was trying to help her.

I was planning on watching again once it got close to S2 but I didn't realize it was going to be June 30th.
