I am so glad I didn't read the comments before watching. They can be mood killers. I asked why the rating was so low and was told it was because some didn't like the FL. I finished it today and enjoyed it! I wish they had given us more of the ending scene.

I just finished this. I enjoyed it so much! I got lost in some of the politics but just as I felt it was too much politics, something sweet happened with the leads. I liked the other couples too. The rating should be higher.

I liked her. I felt bad when she didn't let him ride in her carriage at the beginning because she would not risk her reputation. But after I found out how she felt her father didn't love her as much when he left her behind, I can understand her wanting to protect her reputation and her the Ming family's so as not to disappoint her father.

I haven't read the comments. I figured I would just watch. There were times I didn't like what she said or did but it is part of her character to be concerned about reputation. I think since she was left behind by her father she did her best to be perfect and protect the family name.

I am on ep 26 now and I really love it. Why is the rating so low. I would think this would be higher. I am not saying it is a masterpiece but I am enjoying it.
I loved it. If not for the ending I would watch it again.
It is such a beautiful drama. You can watch it and stop at around the 16 min mark of the final episode. There is some wonderful news. I am not sure of the exact time. But you will see it. However, after that, they are faced with the prospect of never obtaining the antidote the ML needs, and nobody knows how much longer he has to live. We never see him die. All we know is that he will travel somewhere. We don't know if the FL went with him, but we see that she has travelled at the end, there appears to be a man next to her. Some say it is an open ending. I don't regret watching it, even though I would have preferred that he had been cured of the poison.

The leads have history together. I am sure the drama with show their backstory. Then we need to see how they go forward. And then the wedding we saw in the bts.
