My understanding is that censorship in China requires the novels be cleaned up for romance dramas. The lead couple must show certain qualities.

There is a certain fandom that hates him. I know there is competition between many but this particular group is known to be problematic.

The competition is definitely a factor. They were happy the other drama did not come out exactly at the same time. I have seen comments from some from that fandom hating on SWL.

My worse experience with a hate campaign against a drama was with Our Generation. What made it even more disturbing was that it was Zhang Ling He’s fandom or a certain group of them with multiple accounts spamming the forum to discourage viewers from watching. I made a comment saying it was a pity his own fandom was not supporting the drama as he did well in his role. I was attacked and told no true fan would support a drama in which his scenes were deleted. Even the review section of OG was under attack when all the positive reviews were downvoted to push them to the back. Since then, I felt put off from following ZLH even though I still watch his dramas and I enjoy watching him.

I agree. These little moments all contribute. I will be rewatching LFY. I am sure I will pick up on more moments.

The ones who take up residence in our hearts makes it so hard to move on. I am hooked on Chen Yi's love for Jing. He will let no one hurt her. I was blown away by the way he broke loose of the ties around his hands to save her in ep 31. I said this before but it was like he gained super powers. The other scene in ep 31 was as they were pushed into their respective ambulance and mouthed " I love you" to each other. That was a powerful moment💗

They made the drama "cleaner" based on Chinese censorship and I am so glad. A friend shared some details from the book and I will not read it. I like the drama Chen Yi and would like to forget what I heard about the book. Well, there was one particular scene that I did not like.

I completed KTTPH. I would have finished it earlier, but I kept falling asleep listening to the OST. HMH's voice lulled me to sleep😂 This was such a beautiful journey. It was perfectly developed, and nothing felt wrong about it.

I rated all the episodes and marked KTTPH "completed." I will be rewatching my favorite scenes. Excellent performances!
