I know exactly what you mean about the romance. I have watched dramas before that people said there was no romance and yet I could feel the chemistry and the love the leads had for each other. The reason I haven't watched this is because I am not sure about the ending. If the yearning in this is anything like Lighter and Princess, I am in. Some say L&P was too much into computers and business but I could feel the love throughout and it made it difficult to move on.

TPR got a lot of hate because of the sml for one thing. There were many who did not like it because they were upset about the time taken from ZLH as the ML and given to the sml. The rating dropped and then dropped some more toward the end because the sml got too much air time. But I saw so much in the main couple that I loved it. Zhang Ling He was amazing in his role and I could see the different aspects of his character including the brilliance of the ML as a strategist. There were subtle signs right from the start but it was not emphasized. He was brilliant and yet he allowed the FL to grow and succeed with guidance when he felt needed. It was his undying love for her that made me love this couple. Some saw him as a simp, but I saw him as a man who loved his wife and was proud of her when she succeeded but would also step in to tell her when she was going down the wrong path.

I am not sure if I should watch this drama because there have been some negative comments about the ending and the lack of romance. I loved SOKP but it was in TPR that I came to love Zhang Ling He so much more. He was amazing as Pei Wen Xuan and the chemistry between the leads made me watch it over and over.

Some of the reviews have stated there isn't much romance in Scent of Time. It is too bad because I want to watch another WXY drama.

I will take a look. I might edit mine. Of course, Lighter and Princess will forever be on that list!

My plan was to rewatch Go Go Squid so I don't start this yet. I don't like waiting for more episodes but I am so excited to see them together again!

I got so much more out of it on rewatch. Both Esther and Dylan were amazing. Watch it again.

I started watching this over a week ago and then there were no subtitles on youtube. I am only interested in Elvis and Elaine's characters from the first couple episodes I watched. How were the others?

I had such hopes for WTPR. I am going to check out this actor though in other dramas.

There are a few that I liked but some of the recent ones have too many screaming and exaggerated characters. I don't get a good feeling watching them.

With SOKP you just need to push through. It is slow burn but worth the wait. I had a hard time getting into SOKP and tried several times till I pushed myself to watch more. I ended up loving it in the end.

It is not too far to the end which is one of the of the best endings I have seen in a while. It is too bad there wasn't more couple time in the drama. You just keep watching. Everything comes to light soon and I loved the ending while I felt the same as you in some parts because I got bored with all the corruptions and politics. But I loved the leads.

This was my first time watching a Kdrama in a long time and I was so hopeful for this one. The poster got my attention and the synopsis was interesting. I will look for more dramas with the ML because I liked him in this. I thought this was going be a romance where we see how the couple comes together during a crisis but there was too much time spent on the crime scenes. It could be because I felt so uneasy watching the child being murdered. However, as you mentioned My Lethal Man and Mysterious Love, I remembered feeling the romance more than in WTPR which could have been so much better if they had put more in into the couple. It had such potential with the chemistry. I think I will look for this ML but I might have to take another long break from Kdramas.

I agree. It just went off on it's own tangent. This happened with Have a Crush On You which is a cdrama. I was not expecting the last few episodes at all.

I was really interested in the story but it got too much into the thriller genre. It would have been better if there was more of the romance. Great kiss scenes though!

Great review! You hit the main points. I laughed at the "Are you pretty?" scene also. I am not a Kdrama fan but this drama drew my attention. It kept me watching from episode to episode. But then it got too much into the crazy mind of the real PSE and it made me feel uncomfortable. There should have been more couple moments for the romance.I don't think I will rewatch it but it was a good watch.
