I had hopes for her a couple times especially after Duanwu saved her. I thought she would change her ways. I think her character serves as foil to Duanwu who doesn't spend her time blaming other people for her plight. Instead Duanwu strives to succeed while helping others along the way. I know you haven't watched the recent episodes yet so I will say no more.

I agree.I haven't seen Lu Si's fans here as being toxic. They have been ignoring the haters for the most part and just reporting.

@ Alexis0501 I don't know how you came to the conclusion that The Story of Pearl Girl lacks quality to be on tv. You couldn't be more wrong but I am not here to debate the outstanding qualities of TSOPG.

To your comment that it was "advertised as a female lead empowerment drama, but turned out to be another ancient idol drama," I don't think you watched it. Lusi's portrayal of her character embodies more than just female empowerment. It will be a tough act to follow. It would be better for BO to air in 2025 as some have already stated here.

I am only posting this report because of the comments that TSOPG is mediocre or underperforming or low quality as you said. It is telling when you put down The Story of Pearl Girl as low quality when you haven't even watched it.

The comments I saw in BO, might leave a wrong impressing of TSOPG. Hopefully, people are smart enough to see for themselves.

I understand. And it is not only Esther's fans. I am seeing negative comments from people who haven't watched TSOPG on another forum. It is annoying to read these comments as someone who is watching it right now and know how much work Lusi put it into and how incredible her performance is in this drama. I don't know how they can call in mediocre or poor quality. They actually said it doesn't deserve to be on tv and should only be on the web. This is because they want Brocade Odyssey to be on tv and feel TSOPG took the spot meant for BO.

But I don't know if it is necessary to throw insult back in their faces. I feel bad for those actors also.

Just because someone is attacking this drama doesn't mean we need to hit back at the drama they seem to be supporting. We don't even know if they really like the other drama because they could just be using it to get at this drama.
