As of ep 10 Chen Yi has never had a girlfriend but we will see if he does after the time skip or if she is a fake girlfriend. I am staying away from the book

The anxiety is killing me. In ep 10 I kept thinking something as going yo happen to the police friend’s fiancée or that the gangsters will find out Chen Yi is friends with him. I am so nervous even though a friend told me nothing happened to the fiancée.

It is a good place to pause. I did too and only watched ep 7 yesterday. Tonight I got to 10 and going to try to wait. I am watching Road to Success at the same time and it helps with the wait.

I heard a little of what is in the book but I prefer drama's ML. I love that he didn't have a girlfriend. It is much better than what happened in the book. Well, to my sense of romance anyway.
