okay I finished 😭😭 this one goes down as one of my favorite dramas ever. definitely going on the rewatch list. what great writing and great characters. portrayed really well by the actors. bravo to everyone 😭😭

the marquis was such a fascinating character i really think he was the standout for me
he was great. sometimes I forgot we were hoping for his downfall, and I found myself feeling bad for him and even feeling bad when Zang Hai was plotting against him! that's such a great writing and acting when it gets complex like that!!

Xiao Zhan's acting is just so good. highlight for me was EP 26. just some incredible acting! the rest of the cast did amazingly well too. It was a bit of an intense drama at times but I loved it and didn't want it to end!
