Goddamn, I love this show. If for no other reason than for dialogue such as, "You want it don't you, kind words?"…
The angel says "A guy in his 30's" and then later says "This young and beautiful" (for the mother) which means that even if she is 45 she really is young and she could have really had him at a young age. The mother doesn't seem that stable either so I think its reasonable to think that.
