This was a difficult watch; how a woman in her thirties won't stand up to her mother for the man she loves was ridiculous. I don't care for the "parents can do no wrong and they are doing it in your best interest" trope while ruining their child's happiness and this had it in spades.

Given that it was created in 2009 I give this drama some latitude. (Particularly the breathy delivery by Park ShinHye, who I quite like)
I found this one extremely entertaining and less predictable than I thought it would be; will revisit it from time to time when I need a palate cleanser from a heavy drama.

I believe this was recorded long ago and then shelved, not a 2021 production; many of the same cast members from the kdrama "High Society" which dropped in 2015 (and is a very
good drama). Really like Sung Joon but the majority of characters are so unlikeable, I am
leaning towards dropping....will give it a couple of more episodes.

Hana Yori Dango; the best of the versions got me started on Japanese dramas.

This drama had the most natural dialogue and delivery that I have ever seen in my many hours of k, j and c dramas. Huge props to the screenwriters and leads.

If you promise to love and honor til death you do part there should be a divorce before moving on to next guy/girl. Hate to see this normalization of selfish and disrespectful behavior.

I think you must be correct; the actors must have a contract with netflix as the producer and then any production sponsored by them, would draw actors from that contracted pool of talent.
Was Racket Boys also netflix? Again, same group of actors...

So many actors from Prison Playbook but I can't find the connection. Usually director or screenwriter, but not here. Anyone know what links the two dramas?

That last couple of minutes was so unnecessary. It was destiny for Na mu and Geu roo only minutes earlier! Trying to bridge into Season 2 that hasn't been committed to was lame and not in the best interest of the viewer.

This. I don't understand why it has to be 16 episodes 98% of the time. Just film as many episodes as it takes to tell the tale in a substantive manner; no filler episodes or tropey cliches.
