im on ep 21 and i agree - characters, visuals, even OST are good, but the story line just doesn't pull you in as it could. im so tired of this trope when you supposedly have these powerful clever characters but they are always powerless when it matters. and unfortunately it happens here a lot - and it's the story line;'s fault. the actors do the best they can with what they were given but it's not enough

i understand, im just pretty particular about how i like the plot to go in this genre - its usually my problem, some plot lines i love and binge them quickly and some i get stuck on, so far there were things i liked and some i didnt, i do have some criticism for the drama so far but i have praise as well for other things :) the leads are doing a good job tho, even with the parts i dislike

when does the arc with the immortal lord and hong ye being poisoned and xiao yao watering the flowers end? when do they get out of this place? im on ep 13 and it's really dragging for me

i gave it 8/10 because the first half was excellent, the second half was pretty much a mess tho. i questioned myself all the time if it were me that was stupid or if it was the script - got lost in the plot, then went "wtf?" a couple of times because of the convoluted way they tried to amp up the intrigue, it was just illogical in some parts but it was eventually explained. the execution wasn't the best tho. its worth watching even just for the first half, if it starts making no sense after that just power through or skip around a bit and it will make sense eventually. it was over all entertaining and i liked the leads a lot

loved it for like 19 episodes then dropped it around 20 cause i knew where the story was going and i didnt like it. not gonna continue - satisfied with what i watched and had enough. good chemistry between the leads. if you dont have anything to watch and like the actors, i recommend to do what i did - just watch like half of it
