I agree with you. The young actor (he's pretty mature looking though) who plays Zhuang Xu gave a masterful performance portraying a deeply conflicted and tormented soul. I just can't feel the long dialogues in the drama each actor is basically telling their story in such a matter of fact or unemotional dialogue. I think they did that to give more time to the beautiful scenes. Other dramas do that too to a certain extent, but somehow in this drama, it really stood out to me, like the FL mother telling her story, the ML telling his story, and so on.

Initially, I felt Zhuang Xu is unnecessary, but now I think about it more, his presence is almost like an anchor for the story. He shows up and we're reminded of him and the FL again, anchoring the story back to beginning to confront her growth. Also, his character helps to break up the atmosphere. The colleague who finds him kind and likes him helps to soften his character a bit.

The FL either met him and don't remember him, or she never met him, but she never fell in love at first sight. I know it was her fathers' mistress's daughter who faked her it.

Oh, but in the ski scenes, when they were wearing ski hats and all, somehow, he looks young, in fact, they all look younger for some reason. Perhaps, it's the makeup, style, or lighting that affects their appearance at times.

ZX comes off weak and indecisive. He genuinely likes her but won’t confess because he’s already tied to his childhood sweetheart. Spending time at her house while tutoring her cousin made him grow attached, which deepened her crush. But despite their feelings, nothing real ever happened between them — just unspoken emotions and mixed signals.

The hospital facts were right on. That "golden hour" for that kind of brain injury where you have exactly one hour to get surgery, or else you will not make it, is factual.

The 2ML is so scattered throughout, but the more I see him, I starting to think, actually, he might be the most memorable character, possibly, because how can you forget this poor soul?

I really like FL's cousin. He looks and plays the part perfectly, like I can just see someone exactly like him in real life, mannerisms and personality and all, and also FL and cousin's relationship and bantering is also well acted, so natural and real-life like.

I enjoyed the ski scenes a lot. Although it was getting repetitive every time they said to the 2ML, "look isn't that the cousin of the boy you tutored.

Also, the relationship of FL to her grandparents were heartwarming and cute grandparents.

Did the show ever show the moment the ML first fell for the FL at that party? He remembers seeing her, but she doesn’t remember him at all and probably never actually met him since she left early. So why does he keep asking if she remembers him when she clearly wasn’t there long enough to meet him?

The ML wouldn’t have been so upset that she never visited him after his car accident if he hadn’t already fallen for her.

After watching all the BTS videos, this looks like another amazing Xu Kai character to look forward to. He’s always worth the wait.

ML always loved the FL even when he just wanted to know why she never showed up at the hospital when he was badly injured, and treated her harshly, he still always had a thing for her. I guess that's why he was finally able to just let it go, especially since how distraught she was from the way he was treating her. Maybe his doctor friend had some influence on him.

However, I was just thinking did the drama ever showed the audience why ML likes FL to begin with, like what is about her that drew him to her, or why Zhuang Xu likes FL. I get why the other girl likes Zhuang Xu, they were childhood friends, or why FL slowly drawn to ML although that was not eventful, she got to know the real him slowly and was impressed and then he started to treat her well.

Zhuang Xu is the most complex character in an otherwise, very simple and charming drama, so he feels like he's out of place. The drama is not even about him, but he shows up with his depressing nature to poke it. I think one has to watch the entire drama and can't fast forward and miss his speech or the quick flashbacks to truly understand him. All the other characters are easy to follow; you don't really have to think much about them, just enjoy how beautiful they make every moment in this drama.
However, I may have missed something on the ML why during the hospital stay, when she cried, he suddenly decided to not be so harsh on her and instead suddenly decided to treat her really nice. Somehow the whole ordeal with his hands and not being able to continue his lifelong dream as a neurosurgeon vanished from the story. But it's okay, the story continues to provide pure enjoyment. I'm at the ski scenes, and I really like some of the funny and heartwarming moments.

In Episode 12, when Ye Rong confronts Zhuang Xu, he speaks in such a matter‑of‑fact way. Maybe it’s just a guy thing — some men don’t show their emotions on the outside. Maybe it does fit Zhuang Xu. He tends to internalize everything.

This show cares more about creating a nice feeling and pretty atmosphere than showing a full step-by-step love story. The main leads actually get a ton of screen time together. But some really important turning-point moments feel vague, lacking in impact, or understated as you watch because it leans more heavily into scattering them throughout its very gradual, slow-burn progression, and the drama tells a lot of the story through their speeches especially later. Because of that, the big emotional talks—especially the second male lead’s—can feel like they’re just reading lines from a script. You can enjoy the moment even if you don't feel their emotions. Despite that, the drama is still emotionally satisfying overall for its slow-burn healing and warmth that makes one content. It's a well-executed drama that hooks you.

The actor who plays Zhang Hu is only 24 but I thought he was closer to 30 especially his side profile. Someone mentions the FL dresses young. It's because the actress is only 23. Zhao Jin Mai is a very talented actress.
