Even with Chu Zhao , in drama he is living with his maternal uncle right , if I remember correctly in novel he was living with his actual father and had seen his mother in brothel since he was kid , his backstory did bring tears in my eyes when I was reading novel , although don't like him much . With brothel I also remember that scene after Rundu arc when XJ came to know that years before the guy in mask was actually girl and then he was suspicious, overall I loved that whole arc.

Rundu arc again had some iconic scene , her sword fight , actual leadership , and saving those girls from those disgusting men , her principles , her mindset coming across- I really hope it is not cancelled.

That was such an iconic scene and further how XJ had prepared similar spiked balls beforehand and we saw why they both were such capable generals , like those details make them who they were and now so much missing.
Will have to wait to see exact execution of scenes

I was waiting for those scenes so much , that's why little disappointed , may be I would have enjoyed more if hadn't read the novel before but now comparisons automatically revolve in my mind:(

Wait I just finished epi 19 and they changed the whole battle ?? The Jiyang city battle in novel is one of my favourite and actually so unique , the connected ships , the small boats , use of fire and so much more , it was one of the battle I was actually looking forward to as I have not come across any such water battle in any drama and they changed it to ground war:( I am actually disappointed on this thing , they are also missing the little incidences and scenes of novel which give depth to characters and relationship , which make us connect to them more and believe in their love more.

Wait , I am at episode 1 , and what did just happen ? Cheng Chi was was given a guy by Mr. Guo ? It's like selling humans , the guy was clearly not okay with it AND later , for punishing that guy after snake theft , he left him to other guys ? for what raping him as punishment ???

Why is MDL still showing N/A for this drama when half of the drama has been already telecasted ?

He did not cheat on her , he pretended he did to send FL back to her hometown for her safety (otherwise she would not have left) BUT he did not actually cheat on her .

If current emperor did it ,he needs to get his share of punishment too then , I agree on the part that she should have supported her gender and victims of same fate .
If Wanning had chosen to get revenge from the people who sent her in Dai country I would have cheered for her but here she keep destroying lives of innocent people just like that. I can understand her pain but can't support her actions.

And isn't it like truce between two countries that one had to keep the hostage safe for maintaining peace ? Like they hadn't sold their princess just sent her to prove that they will not initiate war as their family member is in your hand , what type of hostage was shown here and Great Yan didn't do anything for years to rescue her ?

So , the person who sent Princess as hostage in Dai country is current Emperor ?

I have mixed feelings towards JRY , specially because she plotted JL rape in palace.
