I'm not sure if you got your answers but he wants them to be apart because Joke keeps interrupting Jack and Rose and the Boss wants Rose and Jack to be together so he can benefit from Rose saving his stocks or business or whatever.. He wants them to marry because he wants Rose to be happy so he can get on her good side, it seems like Rose and her mother are veryyy influential over them. i think also maybe he's looking at the future and if they have kids specifically a boy he can continue this "family" business. Boss is always thinking about himself. Save is doing whatever so the boss will go easy on his bf. Moral of the story Boss is an ass

so we all know Jack is a good person inside but at the end of the day he's a loan shark who made the CHOICE to, as we all know he could've gotten an actual job to get money to pay off Grandmas med bills.
