Although the story centers on a simple tragic event, I liked how it became complex through the characters' actions and emotional struggles. Shida Mirai delivered a strong performance, especially in the crying scene in episode 5.
I believe this drama is very important. I hesitated to watch it since itβs not my favorite genre, but after a few minutes of the first episode, I was hooked.
Don't hesitate to watch it - it will make you cry a few times, but it won't break you.
is it sad and angst like my dearest too?I love my dearest too .But i havnt think that this one will be compared…
No, it's not sad. For me this drama resembles My dearest because it also focuses heavily on the romance before going into all the "boring stuff" like politics π
The acting was good. The chemistry was okay, and there were also some decent kiss scenes. But the inconsistency in FL's character behavior - her unbelievable transformation - made this drama much less enjoyable for me. I blame the production.
The only character transformation that was actually done well enough was the Queen Mother.
It was a very good slice-of-life drama. The pacing is slow, but I think that corresponds well with the story and the messages conveyed. However, in the last episodes, I felt the drama dragged on too much.
I appreciated how realistic everything was - the characters, their stories, the locations, and so on. However, after a while, it felt overly sweet and too easily resolved, which made it less realistic but very comfortable to watch.
All the actors delivered solid performances. The direction and production are also very good. There are plenty of beautiful scenes, so I recommend watching it on a big screen.
I believe the overall structure of the movie's script could be improved. In particular, the beginning felt weak and chaotic. It improved after the first 35 minutes. The ending was unexpected, but the movie failed to make me emotionally invested in the main characters, so I didn't care much about it.

That emptiness actually creates space for you to reflect on the value of simple things that we often take for granted and fail to appreciate.

Just be prepared for a slow paced drama and slow burn romance.
Cecilia Chung's acting was pretty good for a debut role. She's also charming.
Buy/keep that old Motorola phone π
