hey! so far it's been great, and way better than the rating suggests. i would wait until all episodes have been aired or at least until most have been aired, because apparently we're entering into the major angst part of the script & these cliffhangers will be hell

1. she's not making the weapons for the hell of it. she HAS to make those weapons, because her countries king is very suspicious of her family, and if she doesn't make those weapons, her family could face serious consequences. the king is already extremely unhappy with fml's family bc they still haven't produced the weapon

2. ml literally attacks the caravan because he got intel that it was the fml's group. his whole purpose is to kidnap the fml, and that's why he's even there at the beginning. irregardless of whether his killing was justified or not, he still killed these people. the fml also doesn't actually stab down. the first time, she contemplates stabbing him for revenge, but puts the blade down in the end. the 2nd time, it wasn't the fml, but her bodyguard that stabs the ml and the fml defends the ml. idk what you want her to do. like hey you killed my friends, but water under the bridge right?

3. he was initially harsh with her at the beginning, and only in later episodes started to warm up to her. for a cdrama ml, that's already a lot. in general, historical romances will have a simp ml bc that's what sells out in the box offices. there wasn't some cliche love at first sight storyline, which is already better than a lot of others.

4. of course someone needs to simp. LMFAO think about the script. they're two completely incompatible people, and the fml's personality is meant to be proud in accordance with the original novel. if the ml doesn't simp a little, these two people straight up would not be together. if both of them actually held each other accountable for their faults, they would've killed each other a long time ago. also, the ml isn't just blindly following her, he does have his moments where he throws hissy fits

5. that whole "offer her his life" bs isn't real relax, because she doesn't take his life, and it's mainly so he can earn brownie points from her. she's not genuinely considering killing him, it's just him displaying his sincerity.

6. wdym her revenge isn't justified? someone stabs you but you don't die, so there should be no consequences for the person who stabs you? wtf is this logic lmao. MLalso isn't trying to save her guard from the princess, he's trying to get rid of competition. he literally warns the guard that if he tries to covet the fml, he'll kill him. naturally, the guard (who also likes the fml) isn't very fond of the ml, and tries to destroy the relationship between fml & ml.

1. There has to be one simp in the relationship. Can you imagine 2 fmls? Their relationship would be over by ep 1. Someone would be dead before the series started.

2. It’s not like the fml’s revenge is unjustified. It wasn’t the bandits that recked their caravan, it was the ml that killed half of her people. He also tried to kill her childhood friend, who’s basically like her brother.

3. Up until this point she’s his hostage lmfao. Sure they might have their sweet moments, but he’s literally kidnapped her and refused to let her go. Not to mention, he’s supposed to marry another woman who will help solidify his position

Hi, so this drama adaptation has completely rewrote the ml, but in the original novel, the ml is the scum of the earth. He’s a r@pist, abuser, borderline cheater. He got the fml preggo and tried to marry 3 main wives from other tribes, and originally was going to just make the fml his concubine. The fml tried to kill herself, and got rescued. Ended up back in the jun family. I anticipate the drama will change the abuse and wives part to be some major misunderstanding instead. But the main arc of fml getting preggo and running away will remain the same

They differ in a lot of major plot points. Ie og ml is a r@pist and abuser, and no mention of his parents dying of a conspiracy/wolf king. A lot of this drama has changed but the main pregnancy plot point seems to be the same

In the original novel,
The ml r@pes the fml repeatedly, gets her pregnant, then wants to marry another woman. The fml gets pregnant and runs away. So I think they maybe did a variation of that😭😭

luo zhi zhou is SUPPOSED TO BE the ml's sidekick. another leader of one of the 5 great clans. on the surface he seems to be supporting the ml, but he's in love with his cousin's wife and seems to prioritize her wellbeing over anyone else's. from what i've gathered, he has some really shady shit going on and might be related to ml's parent's death.

he has no relationship with the fl. but lowkey the way he's been acting in ep 9 and the spoilers of ep 10-13, I've been gearing up for a snape level backstabbing.

it hasn't happened yet. he got extremely suspicious of her in ep 8, but because her little sister pretended to be jun feifan, the fml was able to avoid disclosing her true identity. but the ml still feels like the fml is actually jun feifan, and remains suspicious.

i know! doesn't she whip and poison the 2nd ml?? also in ep 9, the fact that she pushed fml's horse and caused it to run towards a tiger, and then has the nerve later on to complain that it was the ml that disrupted her contest with the fml. like girl you just tried to kill the fml, please be serious here.

watched up to ep 3 so far, and it's actually not that bad. ab's acting has improved a lot i think. also, her character is meant to be very cold, so the lack of facial expressions sort of make sense. don't be dissuaded by the weird number of ab haters that don't like her, but stalk her dramas

from a more objective point of view, the cgi is godawful. but it's also only been a real factor in 1-2 scenes so far, so it's really not that big of a deal. for the most part, i think it's a pretty interesting drama. relationship develops relatively fast; it's that great slowburn stage where they haven't quite developed feelings, but both are working to each other's mutual benefit.
