only on ep 1 and I love a woke drama where the female lead does what she want. reminds me a little bit of how to be single. and can we talk about each and every persons characteristics. Like her father in law is a „tree“, her coworkers one being single and in a fictive oppa realatinship (could be me haha) one being cheated on now living his single life
the only thing that’s bothering me and I don’t know if I’m the only one who noticed it was how the police interrogated the couple. like they took their phones, kept them separated in a room for hours … I mean if they don’t have hard evidence they can’t keep them without their permission and they don’t need to answer or give them their phones if they don’t have a warrant for it and they can also access a lawyer for further questioning. I don’t know if it’s different in china but the way I see it was that the police took advantage of the naive and inexperienced kids. like do they know their rights
us is literally the perfect soundtrack for this show. I finished it and it felt like a scripted drama not a reality show. all these coincidences starting with the vintage shop jacket followed by the washing room. the drama, the heartbreak, the fun, the adventure felt like out of the world. I will keep this one in my heart for sure. it was one of the best dating shows I’ve watched. hopefully there will be a season 2 and if anyone reads this pls keep me up to date on who dated after this in real life and what happened (every detail) because most of these shows are not for long term things and no one ends up together so hopefully someone dated after this
I get why he was not enjoying his date with Mimi. She’s always nice to everyone which could offend someone who has feelings for her. it’s like how can I say this she’s acting like she’s his mother to some extent like just be nice and have fun. you could tell she’s not interested but kept the facade. she could have told him your right I have feelings for someone else but it’s a once in a life time experience so just have fun as friends and don’t act like everything’s fine. he told her what he felt and she did not really read the room when he cried. she laughed. I get that she wants every moment to be light and fluffy but when someone feels uncomfortable and not understood it’s hard to stay positive especially if the other person is not really listening
