I clearly remember telling people in my comment that u DON'T have to read the book to understand the tv series since it goes together and there are only minor changes. If people have mentioned it why tag me? But as any tv series it will not include EVERY explanation or detail.

I mean its totally fine to have ur opinion on the episodes released so far. As long as the entire series isn't judged off 2 episodes. Lets hope for the best!

Vincenzo was more of a one man show. It's sorta hard to call it a mafia in a sense. Also considering the fact that he left the mafia in the 1st ep itself. But yeah pretty sure its gonna turn darker and more messed up.

No u don't NEED to read the book since it goes along with it but reading the book helps u with all those "apparent plot holes" you keep talking about. Btw all of that doesn't happen in a day.
