For all of you who have their panties in a bunch and love the book/movie Call Me By Your Name. The main characters…
"There was no grooming, no gifts or money exchanged for favors, it was consensual." Since when did grooming need money? That's bribing tf?
here u go the definition of grooming sine it seems difficult for u to understand, "Grooming is a deliberate process in which an individual builds a relationship, trust, and emotional connection with a child, young person, or vulnerable adult to manipulate, exploit, and abuse them"
Sure he's not a pedo but since u really wanna argue on semantics here the real definition of what he did STATUTORY RAPE: The legal charge for sexual activity with a person below the legal age of consent, even if the minor agrees to the relationship.
How can it be consensual when u take advantage of a low self esteem child, gain his trust by telling him ur gay(yes the tutor did confess he's gay), and thinking this child will never get affected? His job was to teach not to show how to have sex with minors.
So u think its ok for male tutors to go into minor girls or boys (16 or not) and then have sex with them and not consider it as grooming?
Again do some basic reading on "published studies "on how minor-adult relationships impact people. U are not better than psychologists who studies these behaviours for a living and the law.
People aren't saying the show is bad. They are saying they hate the tutor character From here on we shall refer to him as rapist. Since that's the legal definition.
Its a good comedy drama. Sure it has no depth and is cliche yet its fun in its own way. Good to just pass time. While the drama is about BL ig more of it is focused (in my pov) on the teachers lives in the classroom. Bl seems to be coming more in snippets at the end and beginning.
However I hate the math teacher even if his intentions were good. You don't treat students like that.
The police part is actually pretty complicated. Technically it comes much earlier than this and is more complicated.…
Certainly fyi;chinese authors tend to write very long chapters and it took me over 4hrs just to read 35 chapters. I don't think they had the budget to make it that long and include every scene. Even mei(the prostitute was chu san's classmate but they removed it)They seemed to have tried their best in including much of the book and trying to make it make sense but there are obvious shortcomings to it.
The reason they can't remove the police part it cuz its integral to the main storyline. I think they are planning on doing a season 2 possibly season 3. So we might see more of the proper plot then. Mind u these episodes only amount up to around a 1/3 of the book so hopefully we get season 2 next yr.
Ok so habitus the company that bought the distribution rights for wooju bakery from the original bankrupted company claims that they have paid the artist fees thru the relevant agencies.
They told they have evidence for this. Idk but im assuming either
1.that the previous company didn't pay them fully 2.Or they stole the money by falsifying payment accounts. 3. Habitus (being a post production company) paid only the royalites? Unless they bought the old companies debts as well.
If its true then ig jeff would have to sue the bankrupt company and i doubt u can get anything out of a bankruptcy.
If what habitus says is true then they prolly have the right to move forward with the drama cuz the previous company was supposed to pay them.
yes but also why do gay dramas always have to have stereotypical struggles? sometimes we'd like to just see humans…
I agree. I just mentioned both struggles and lbqtq topics cuz 90% of KBL's already don't address either or just "graze" over it.
Struggles are still an important part of the gay community since they still get discriminated against even in countries where being gay is legal and can marry. Portraying them can get straight people to understand us even better or empathize that its not always "rainbows".
This is not to say that I don't like cute dramas. I love them. But they might not necessarily help people understand LQBTQ people more. Most of the korean gays ik don't watch KBL's for these reason. Very few even told me they find it disgusting.
if you're looking for a kbl that isn't "cutesy" i'd suggest giving long time no see a try! it's more of…
Yes loved it! I watched it over 6 years ago. One of my first kbls. Its made by a gay company which is why it was so good with a unique plot. They know their shit.
However nowadays we see no dramas like that. A pity. Wish these queer companies get more money and fame cuz they are soo good.
Filming a whole series for free is crazy. They need to be paid! As i remember that original korean production company went bankrupt right? and then another company bought the rights to the film and then it was licensed to gagaoolala.
Don't take my cutesy BLs! There's room enough for all genres!
Haha i agree! I do like cutesy ones just saying that they should simply start prioritizing other genres like thailand. But ig the KBL society is more into cutesy stuff.
For novel readers if u don't mind can u tell me from which chapter does ending of today's ep is from, and if u…
This scene was heavily different in the book they did celebrate new years toghether but i think its smewehre between 30 and 33. As for his "certificate" its chapter 37. read chapter 36 so u can ease into it.
Why are the episodes so short! I could watch 2 hours/episode and it wouldn't be enough. I understand that we are…
Series lui yi is more innocent. The book one is more ruthless and rowdy. He chu san gets beaten multiple times untill he accepts that he'sin love with him
After being disappointed with todays episode of Only Friends I'm even more hyped by this excellent episode of…
The police part is actually pretty complicated. Technically it comes much earlier than this and is more complicated. There's multiple levels of corruption and liu yi is also a drug dealer. The 1st police officer who comes in to take down liyu yi isn't jia hua. Its jia hua's cousin. however he falls into liyu yi's bait and gets exposed for sleeping with one of his brothel girls. Then only does jia hua comes to remove all the bad guys.
It'd be best to read the book as its all epxlaine there.

this one is the most accurate one.

other translations are messy and not accurate. just login and u can read free from wattpad
