Its a good comedy drama. Sure it has no depth and is cliche yet its fun in its own way. Good to just pass time. While the drama is about BL ig more of it is focused (in my pov) on the teachers lives in the classroom. Bl seems to be coming more in snippets at the end and beginning.

Certainly fyi;chinese authors tend to write very long chapters and it took me over 4hrs just to read 35 chapters. I don't think they had the budget to make it that long and include every scene. Even mei(the prostitute was chu san's classmate but they removed it)They seemed to have tried their best in including much of the book and trying to make it make sense but there are obvious shortcomings to it.

The reason they can't remove the police part it cuz its integral to the main storyline. I think they are planning on doing a season 2 possibly season 3. So we might see more of the proper plot then. Mind u these episodes only amount up to around a 1/3 of the book so hopefully we get season 2 next yr.

The police part is actually pretty complicated. Technically it comes much earlier than this and is more complicated. There's multiple levels of corruption and liu yi is also a drug dealer. The 1st police officer who comes in to take down liyu yi isn't jia hua. Its jia hua's cousin. however he falls into liyu yi's bait and gets exposed for sleeping with one of his brothel girls. Then only does jia hua comes to remove all the bad guys.
