It was an open ending drama that was totally worth the watch. I love how they played out the references and how…
My mind is split between the two possible ending, like...
1) Did the ending hug meant something? - The ending hug referenced to how hae rim had mentioned that she'd prefer hugs as an "ending" in love stories. As it feels more warm and indicates that love just doesn't end there. - ML then hugged her at the end, referencing to this, I saw people saying that hae rim didn't hug him back at the end, indicating it was a sad ending, and saw people saying she did respond back by leaning forward hence returning the said warmth from the hug.
2) Did she end up with 2ML? - Hae rim is on a call with someone from seoul before she left her house at the ending, it could be the 2ML since he's from there and since chae did admit he liked this guy too (same way it was clear that there's more than friendship between ml and fl, but given the amount of possible interpretations, I'll hop over this) - The title "If We're A Season", thing is... ending part showed snow—winter, referencing to that moment 2ML asked when FL is born and where he said he was born in winter, indicating that maybe "winter" won at the end after all.
Honestly, the 2nd one ticks more boxes, through out the series I was rooting for both of mls but also a bit more to ML (fine he won in my heart).
All in all it was sweet, very lovely and a perfect movie to watch on a calm cold weekend.
It was an open ending drama that was totally worth the watch. I love how they played out the references and how sweet and natural the love between the characters are. The pacing is also perfect, although I must say...
I'll take it. Ending is a bit nonsensical but who tf cares THEY REUNITED
In all seriousness it wasn't half bad, his tears really pierced my heart, I don't care what tricks His Majesty pulled to get to the future, all that I know is my heart is swelling—HE REUNITED WITH HIS WIFEY
I disagree, I think he embodies the "tyrant demeanor" pretty well. Some even says his eyes speaks more than words, I don't think he lacks anything to just be considered "normal" Perfect? maybe not, who knows, its so subjective.
Edit: I've seen the last 2 eps, I now strongly disagree.
The last few episodes were disappointing, I don't get why they suddenly made Jira's character lose morals. The first few episodes were refreshing and will have you hooked with the on and off banter of the two, it was such a shame to see his character go downhill as the story progresses though.
THEY ADDED A LOT OF UNEXPLAINED SCENES IN THE SHOW.
I usually rate positively, and adds glitters everywhere. But gosh, when I tell you, this is really a mess. They had like 10 random parts that are unexplained, so soooo lacking.
It was soft and mediocre but still engaging, although I'm dissapointed by the rushed ending. Watched for Chae…
Like "why didn't they show his face a the end?", "if the treatment is that easy then why didn't he have it done sooner?" "did that office lady, divorce her husband?" (lol, but I sure hoped that because they added that totally unrelated part, they atleast would build some "girl power" something, between the two office ladies) "what more about fl's father?" "what more about Mrs. Yang's husband, yada yada, and brother?" "what's in the USB drive?"(this one is actually really such a big deal, I don't get why they ignored this) and absolutely... how dare they leave the 2nd ML simping OH AND GOSH what is that "secret of FL" that she's so scared that her bully will reveal??? (this stole a lot of screen time so why the hell did they skip this???)
A LOT OF PLOT HOLES, I COULD LIST MORE, AND NOW THAT I'M THINKING ABOUT IT.... I GUESS ITS REALLY SUCH A WASTE OF A SHOW.
It was soft and mediocre but still engaging, although I'm dissapointed by the rushed ending. Watched for Chae and fell for Je Hoon, I love how his character isn't the typical "cold and dead" male lead. He's actually really warm and fluffy and is just very depressed. Chae's character seems to be missing a lot. Alot of "throwbacks" and background stories weren't properly explained.
A lot of people complaining about the last episode, and honestly I don't like it too but it's totally skippable and not worth how much they emphasized how bad it was and how it ruined the drama lol. (It was nonsensical indeed, but c'mmon)
It was a nice excuse to see him in that outfit 😉.
Ah also I've read somewhere that they really did nuke the stuff on the last ep, it was more justified and made more sense in the novel🤷♀️.
Over all it was nice, I'm glad I didn't listen to all the negative nothing's of people acting like perfect critiques. It was worth the watch, it's really good.
🦭💕1. Last few episodes are downpour sadness (maybe) but plotwise and all it's happy.2. Yes, it's the type…
The plot revolves with her faking her identity (copying ML's mother's name) to get a job on ML's company and also to report to ML's mother how her son is doing. The villains are really cruel and I think there are lots of unreasonable hate from them that spoils the story. The cinematography tho???? It's holy, major major comfort vibes. The plot ends with ML's prosopagnosia disappearing when he reunites with his mom and mom gets treatment. ML and 2nd ML becomes best buddies again after patching up things in the company.
I rated this a 9/10 when I first watched it (I guess cheesyness worked on me). I would now say a 7/10 honestly~
Again a lot of fluff and cheesy moments. I guess it was great... Just that the villains are too 🐝tchy.
Can you please answer few questions?(Please feel free to give spoilers)1. Happy ending or not?2. Any Love Triangles?…
🦭💕 1. Last few episodes are downpour sadness (maybe) but plotwise and all it's happy. 2. Yes, it's the type of love triangle that isn't that much complicated since the show never even bothered to highlight how the 2nd ML likes the FL. I mean it says that he liked her but there are not cute moments like bickering or a chance to flicker the love for the two. 3. I don't know how to answer this exactly but I hope this way is ok~ Fluff 9.5/10 (very cute moments where the two are so lovely dovey). Angst 8/10 (again they love to bicker and the FL is often loud but that's what makes the two's bond fun I guess. 4. I don't really remember but the time before they got together isn't really dragged or anything (I'm too lazy to reminisce) they got together pretty quick when they found out they liked each other...till they broke up for a while and when things are fixed they got back together. 5. They patched up after the misunderstandings and the ML's trauma is worked on... It was in a well written pace (if it's just the love were talking about) but ofcourse there are back stories (even the villains) that took quite the amount of screen time. 6. Main misunderstanding is caused by ML's mother having this disease that caused her to want to stay away from her family (+overwhelming amount of pressure, given the financial status difference of his parents). It explained well what caused each characters pain. It was a short show so misunderstandings were cleared shortly after ML give FL chance upon realizing he can't live without her~💕 7. It was sweet, I kept a journal of my review after watching and I'll quote what 2023 me wrote: "The plot is soft and everything is just lovely. I really enjoyed how cheesy the two are and wished there's more. It was a very comforting series where there are lots of healings and their problems were pretty light— and their life is light." 8. 10/10 they have the same cheesy humor and antics and is very lovely dovey. ML is childish and FL loves blabbering~ (However again... I wished there's more to FL and 2nd ML).
I watched this when it was first released so I can't really remember most of it (except quite the amount of remarkable moments). I guess I'll rewatch then~
