pretty sure their is three, the original phoenix then the mortal trial second reincarnation(forget the name) and then finally Wei Zhi it is possible their are others but they are nameless

past life Phoenix was super powerful God and Yan Yue's past life was her teacher and one sided love but sadly things happened and they had to fight and died and reincarnated and repeated again then this live is Wei Zhi and their love works out tho the true Phoenix true spirit still survives so she not 100% dead and plays a very important role at the end

yes their past lives and the Phoenix has loved Yan Yue in multiple past lives but he didn't really love her its only this life where that really changes even in the novel Yan Yue admits he was really cruel to her in past lives

the Heavenly Emperor is a villain because as you can see from the hints in the drama he is dying so if he can't breakthrough to become a god he will die but since he is old he can't breakthrough himself so he ends up using the Three Realms as a cauldron sacrifice as for ml becoming demon king I've forgot lol but think it has something to do with current demon lords death(could be wrong tho)
