Not laying everything out explicitly isn't really a "loose thread". One of my favorite things about this finally…
Lol, I mean it's as okay as it is for me to give a differing opinion, right?

I get wanting to see more, and I lived the jiung character, but I was glad they let it be ambiguous (but clearly healing and positive) rather than having to watch some kind of perfect redemption for his mother. I don't even think we know if she survives or not, and I appreciate this since that isn't really the point.

One of the things that makes so many kdrama endings unsatisfying to me is absolutely the tendency to tie bows on every single
story, rather than allowing them to have natural endings. I thought OBS had one of the best endings BECAUSE it was so natural (not forced into a neatly tied bow) while still showing our characters in such a better place than the beginning of the show.

Is this... your first kdrama? This is definitely the kind of thing that once you notice, you'll never not notice…
Repetitive songs.

Try watching Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food or One Spring Night. I like both dramas a lot, but oof they overplayed the hell out of one or two songs.

Pfft. I saw a different bts where Win talks about how as F4 the most important thing is always looking cool. Cracks me up to watch the bts where he also looks like a big dork.

That was the best possible ending I guess. It was ok but a lot of loose ends. CW and YS got a good character development…
Not laying everything out explicitly isn't really a "loose thread".

One of my favorite things about this finally was how nicely it gave honest looks at "where they are now" without wrapping everything in a bow (which is a typical and super unsatisfying resolution for many kdramas).

Jiung especially. He was such an interesting character and it is so believable that after finally resolving his traumatic relationship with his mom, and spending honest time with her, that he'd be in a better emotional state three years later. We see this. It was lovely.

And thankfully the show didn't shove a "see he has a relationship too" down our throats, since that would feel waaaay too much like pandering imo.

I really loved this drama. I really felt that every character was the main character. Of course I loved the main…
It's absolutely one of my favorite ensemble dramas.

Loll how did you manage too watch all five eps I. One day that’s like five hours of free time needed
Woah. I thought the majority of us were the "binge all day till 3am" types, but I guess not lol.

I wonder what my life would be like if I could binge shows in moderation... πŸ€”

Oh I love that line in the trailer where Aunt Yu says, "Don't waiver. In every right thing you do, something has to be traded off". Powerful advice for a character who has basically been told not to waiver in all the WRONG things he does. Like his mom telling him she doesn't care what games he plays in school as long as he rules the school completely.

Uh, just gonna second the recommendation for Love and Redemption... it's one of my absolute favorite dramas (of any country or genre). It is such an epic story. By the time you get to the end, it's so hard to imagine the characters as they were from episode 1. I just... I love it so much.

Yeah, it's like the other 3 help protect him and care for his more fragile mental state. He is de-facto leader because he sees himself that way and they just go with the flow for his sake.

I agree with you, but for the part of him saying she looks average, i feel that is what eveyone says in these…
Took me so many dramas before I realized this. Like, they have to *tell* me the FL is considered unattractive because otherwise I'd never know that was how the other characters see her.

Bright is a star. Like Lee Min Ho. No doubt about this. I get cruel Thyme, confused smitten Thyme, childish Thyme.…
Hm. Seems pretty clear to me that F4 isn't led by Thyme because of gravitas (in any of the versions) but just because he is the most temperamental.

Also, lol, have to disagree about Lee Minho. I've always felt like he is a handsome black hole of charisma, like fancy cardboard. Part of what confuses me about people liking BOF is straight-up confusion that they didn't feel as blah as I did everytime Junpyo was on screen.

Assuming you're okay with being spoiled, the situation between them varies in different versions of this drama.…
I don't recall super well, but my impression of the other versions was that it's Kaning being hurt by her bf that gets Kavin to pay attention to her, which I always hated. Is this just my brain, or do other people remember it that way too?

Regardless, I freaking love all the connections between Kaning and Kavin in the lead up to that moment since I will actually believe that he'd care about seeing her hurt. Can't wait!
