Lol, you know, those little details really made me think of Young Royals and Heartstopper! About Heartstopper — I only watched the show, never read the book — but the main characters in both BinL and Heartstopper had their kisses while sitting like that, looking into each other’s eyes!
And about Young Royals, just watching the trailer for the next episode of BinL — the other couple is holding/playing with their fingers in a dark place — totally reminded me of Wilhelm and Simon watching a movie with their friends! (sorry I'm not good with names at all, and sorry if I disappointed you with the resemblance :(( )
