Set towards the end of the Joseon Dynasty period, Madam Cho lives as a devoted wife, but secretly, she resents the restrictions placed upon her by society. In both BLs, the main couple are investigating generally unsavory people together in order to collect evidence to expose them. In Doku Koi it is for criminal cases. In Ameiro it is for a gossip journal. Despite the more serious topics at times, there is still a lot of silly and light hearted moments throughout to keep the shows' tone lighter. I also feel the couple dynamics are sort of similar. Kaburagi (Ameiro) and Haruto (Doku Koi) are both familiar and more engrained in the shady side of things and use their expertise to get results. Meanwhile, Onoe (Ameiro) and Shiba (Doku Koi) are their more innocents partners who they want to protect.

The Long Night (cdrama) and Stranger (kdrama) share several key similarities:

Although the actors and actresses in both dramas are different, the characters are common to both dramas.
Even though they are new actors and actresses, their performances are very good. This will undoubtedly be a great creation.

they're really similar as far as the love triangle, how the male leads act BUT alsb's ml is really an asshole IMO, and the plots are pretty similar but with minor changes

Both series are dark comedies centered around crime. Both have leads who are swindlers and burglars. Found family trope. Questions like "What makes a real family?", "Is it necessary for a family to stay together simply because of blood relation?" and "What is the purpose/significance/value of a family?" are evaluated. And finally: both are underrated gems!
