Liar Game Episode 8 Reactions
Da Young once again illustrates that he is a master manipulator. He is so smooth, poised and effortless in his evil and it sends shivers down my spine. Throughout this episode Woo Jin seems a bit out of his depth despite being a genius human lie detector and that is terrifying thought. He is the only possible match for Da Young's calculated, all encompassing evil and to see our hero flounder was very scary. The guys really took center stage during this episode and that included the side characters. We spent a lot more time with the men of LIAR GAME this episode.
Da Jung took a major back seat this time around as well and pretty much just let everyone else battle it out while looking helpless.( I kept taking note of how many times Kim So Eun had speaking lines... which is always a bad thing). Jamie was also very much out of the loop in this ep and pretty much only did the bidding of the two psychological heavyweights .
PD Lee was her usual awesome self putting YET another man in their place by reminding Director Jang that this is HER SHOW and she was taking control now. This character continues to delight me with each passing episode. Her strength, heart and confidence is great to see in female character in a k-drama,she is definitely one to watch.
A deeper mystery is starting to unfold as it relates to Da Young and Woo Jin's connection and why Da Young is as superbly evil as he is.
I was transfixed, with my stomach in knots, sweating bullets during this episode only to realize that this and episode 7 was set in a tricked out ware house where all they do is vote. It speaks to great performances and story that have characterized this drama for 8 episodes and I think it's only going to get better.
With the final reveal at the end of this week's episode I highly doubt that any substantive answers can be given in only 4 episodes. Lets hope they're aiming for 2nd season ( PLEASE TVN PLEASE).
