Sweet Spy (2005)

This is NOT a popular drama although I heard it played a significant role in spreading the hallyu wave in the U.S. If you ignore Dennis Oh's below average acting skills, slow screenplay and sometimes boring scenes...this drama is sure to keep you interested. The story is ordinary but the execution was good. The scenes involving Choi Beum Gu and his gym cronies were so hilarious I'd often burst out laughing while watching alone. It's an earnest parody of a spy drama...it gets serious at times but it somehow manages to retain it's comic element. Nam Sang Mi's character was slightly annoying at times but then she made Lee Sun Ae seem genuine, innocent and honest. It is a good drama and somehow I've managed to develop a connection to it, hence I'm being generous and rating it at 8.

First I love Dennis Oh, his English is sexy, lol. The drama is filled with action, suspense, and laughs. I must admit I got upset as the bad guys were winning the evil war for too long.

Seriously though, what's with attacking Captain Kang Joon just to get a kiss from him? Yes, but that's my opinion.

Everything else was great, re-watch? yes, but I would skip the parts with the wicked officer Park Eun.

Good ending, as you realize he is still alive, but I would have loved to see them get together and meeting his mother with her. Also, I wanted to see officer Park Eun behind bars (really, she p**** me off for being so evil and chasing after someone who did not want her.

Вот такое бурное начало в принципе описывает минут 20 первой серии, а остальные 19 серий с половиной мы искренне наслаждаемся Деннисом О в кадре, да еще говорящем на английском Как жаль, что он так мало снимается, все ж в корейском цветнике такая экзотика отнюдь не лишняя.
Сюжетец, конечно, еще тот, шпионские "страсти" показаны уж очень гротескно, тем удивляет слегка "темный" финал. Главная героиня, по традиции, дура-дурой. И по традиции же, все мужики штабелями ее. Есть тут и красавица-соперница, но так, не впечатлила. В общем и целом, средненько. Но есть Деннис.
