Participating in the independence movement for Chosun, Ju Ki Chul hides out in the maiden Ahn Gab Su's house when the Japanese police pursue him. When Japan forces all the people of Chosun to pay reverence at the Japanese shrine, the Protestant Church suffers a big shock. Ki Chul gets remarried to a fellow parishioner named Oh Jum Do. He is assigned to the Sanjunghyun Church in Pyongyang. He builds a new chapel. With the opening ceremony before him, Ki Chul is arrested and the law forcing the Chosun people to worship the Japanese shrine is passed. Ultimately, Minister Ju Ki Chul is discharged and his church is closed down. On the night of April 20, 1944, Minister Ju is martyred in a prison. Edit Translation
