if you take out the bromance, the show is pretty much the same. in fact, the mermaid is even funnier, and its a movie, so its shorter. i remember laughing and crying watching both of these shows lol

Very different in tone and setting, but both feature main characters who are mermaids and are abducted at some point and freed by the other main character. Both are romances with lovely visuals.

Human/supernatural being with water related powers romances.

When you watch them you have the special feeling of similarity. Both are just soo sweet and soo funny in the same way.

Comedy mixed with drama. Someone tries to abduct the mermaid and the human must rescue them. Romantic relationship between a human and a mermaid. The mermaid ends up leaving, then returning at the end for a happy ending.
