Spider Lilies (2007)

This movie is very harsh, there are no rainbows or butterflies when it comes to this film. It's about the harshness of life and love that shouldn't be. The characters are very dark and are sometimes hard to understand until a flashback happens later in the film. The love between the Jade and Takeko is dysfunctional but real, you can almost understand Jade's obsession with Takeko. The actress did a very good job playing women in love. And it was nice to see Ranie Yang play a more mature role rather then her cutesy innocent stuff. I recommend this film to anyone who is willing to give it a try.

The movie is very creative in my point of view; The way that each character portray themselves are very unique, and it's a very good story, but, I do have to point that is very Dark and has a slight plot twist - As well as an open ending, that leaves you with the infamous question: "What in the world just happened?"
I don't think it gets in the way with the fun in watching though, but it would be a warning for those who don't like it.
I think the only think I don't like is the repetitive music, but it does happen a lot even in new dramas, so we can't help it. If you're looking for somehting intense, it is worth watching.
