The Great Shaolin Episode 9

Jian Xiong bargains with the Madam of Aroma Pavilion so that Zhen Zhen will entertain only as a musician. Wen Dao announces to Bai Huo that he would like to become a monk. Zheng Nian places conditions on Wen Dao’s return to the Temple, including making Zheng Zing, a monk who took a vow of silence, speak. When Bai Huo and Zheng Nian discuss Wen Dao’s return, it is apparent the vow of silence involves Zheng Nian and a disaster at the Temple 10 years ago. Wen Dao and Xiu encounter Zheng Xing in his cottage by the garden, wearing chains. The monk throws the two and their liquor immediately into a ditch. Jian Xiong bursts into the Aroma Pavilion and demands Zhen Zhen to play music for him. Upstairs, he adamantly tells her he would marry her. Zhen Zhen retreats back to her room but is harassed by the Madam and the other prostitutes. Reaching her breaking point, she sends everyone away from her. The other prostitutes are not content to let her be and begin scheming immediately. Meanwhile, Wen Dao’s unsophisticated attempts to get Zheng Xing to speak are failing spectacularly.
