I hate to say it, but this was hopelessly OVERRATED.

I watched it because it was supposed to be this good, but just a few
minutes into the movie you encounter what is a stereotypical plot.
There are just too many clichés in the plot and how it is portrayed,
nothing is a surprise or new.

It seriously reminded me of the vibe of movies in the 70s.

The best thing about this was the cut, which was well done.

So, sadly, I was disappointed

It seems to me that Korean cinema has a particular fascination with psychopathic killers. This movie is one such example.

I felt that the movie tried to cover too many themes and relationships, which made its coverage of everything too shallow. Some themes include the relationship between Soo-Ah and her brother, the parallel brother-sister relationship between Soo-Ah and Ki-Sub, Soo-Ah's struggle with her blindness and trying to be independent, the psychopathic killer himself and his cruel, cruel deeds, etc. As a result, I don't have a good idea of any of these themes.

Kim Haneul's portrayal of a brave, blind woman is worth the watch. Yoo Seung Ho doesn't have as much onscreen time, but he is cute as always.

Despite its flaws, the movie contains some pretty suspenseful moments that will keep you holding your breath.

This movie was amazing! Having watched Midnight, I had more interest in looking for other stories that feature a similar scenario. And lo... this movie came to my attention. And considering the movie also feature Seungho as one of the leads as well as this movie turned out to be Bogum's debut work... well I have to say that my interest was captured.

I have to say that this was the first time I'm seeing Kim Haneul in a crime thriller and I'm really loving it. She really did a great job portraying a blind person who used to be a police cadet. I have to say the same regarding Seungho. While I think I recall somewhere about him feeling that his earlier acting works weren't that much good, I'd like to say that I disagree. I like his character here as Giseob. And I also like the dynamics between Kim Haneul and Seungho as two unlikely witness to a crime in progress who later grew closer in a sibling-like relationship.

There are quite a few things that I really liked about this movie. First thing though, was the fact that Soo-ah had not given up in readmitting herself to police university after being expelled for breaking rules and using handcuffs on her brother (which leads to his death). I like the fact that the people around her (like her head mother, Detective Jo and later even Giseob) were also supportive of her, believing that her disability was not a weakness and that it was those words of encouragement that kept her back on her feet when she almost lost belief in herself. I like how the suspense element and conflict were written in a very realistic and believable way.

The mystery and suspense was quite thrilling as our witnesses and attending police officer join together to identify the serial killer. Any fans of psychological thriller would be able to enjoy this movie. And this movie, like Midnight, also gave us a glimpse of how people with disabilities live their life and deal with the challenges that arise from it. Aside from the crime thriller element, the writing on the characters were done well and allows you to relate with their life stories and plight.

Here's the thing with this film: So much potential, lots of suspense and utterly terrifying at times.

I don't think it's clearly expressed in the movie credits or in most of the movie summaries I read, but this is NOT an original story line. Blind is a remake of the film Wait Until Dark, starring Audrey Hepburn.

In many respects, the Korean remake fixes a lot of the plot issues in the original film; it's more logical and seems more "realistic". But I also found that the most gripping scene that is present in both films (you know exactly what I'm talking about if you've seen Wait Until Dark) lacks suspense and drama in the remake.

I'm not able to tell exactly what the downfall of this movie was: directing, acting or writing. It may be a combination of all three.

Do I think the movie is worth watching? Definitely. The best part of this movie is that it provides so much perspective on what it may be like for someone who is blind. The movie does a great job getting the viewer to understand some of the daily, and not so daily, issues that a blind person may encounter.

Do I think it'll be your favorite movie? Probably not.

I shouldn't have watched it alone!

This movie was, for me, surprisingly good. The film quality isn't fabulous, it's an older movie, and you need to make sure that the room that you are watching it in is dark, because this film has a lot of dark scenes that are hard to see.

Story/script: SPOILERS! Overall, it was good, but a couple of glaring things stuck out to me. First, her guide dog had to be the worst guide dog ever. She walked her out into the middle of an intersection with cars coming! THEN, the dog left her when she got off the train. Granted, the dog did come back to try to protect Soo Ah, and then died?!?!?! I know it was necessary to the story about "I lose everyone I love" but come on! Thankfully I knew about this ahead of time, so I was somewhat prepared, but then to kill off the inspector?!?! Couldn't the writer just have him be wounded? I was hoping he'd show up at her graduation and was so disappointed. Another thing that irritated me, her burning herself while cooking, and spilling things all over the place. She'd been blind for three years; it seems she would have adapted better than this. I felt that the writers were trying to show us how "weak" she was because of her disability. It didn't ring true to me. That being said, the tension in this movie was real, lots of sudden camera shots that had me jumping in surprise.

Acting: I love all of the actors that were in this and felt they did a good job.

The ending scenes were sweet, showing that she had someone else in her life to care about her.

Fairly good even if the Chinese version is better for me

I am not really a fan of genre which involves murderous acts with psychotic suspects because I don't really get why are they doing it. It just makes me feel upset and I want to kill them myself. I watched this because I previously watched the Chinese version of this and I think it gave more impact than this Korean version. The plot is quite unique because it utilizes the idea that being handicapped is not a reason for you to stop trying. It doesn't make you less of a person.

Also it's good to see a younger version of Seung Ho as well on this movie and his presence actually gave a bit of an impact to this movie plus a bonus of Park Bo Gum on his younger years. The sound effect keep the mood going and adds more thrill to the scene. It's really not a type of movie that I would want to watch again due to personal taste but I think it is fine overall.

A bit more intense than the Chinese version but they're both good in their own way. Even though I'd seen the other one still enjoyed watching so that in itself speaks about how interesting the movie is. But while entertaining I feel like it lacked substance a bit. The plot was intriguing it could have been better. Still a fun watch. Both the leads are interesting characters who barely have anything in common but get together because of the incident where the female lead who went blind because of being in an accident with her brother, gets caught up with a serial killer and Yoo Seungho manages to witness it.

Better than Expected

If you're looking for something action packed keep moving. If you're looking for a few AH-HA or OH SNAP moments look no further. I like serial killer stuff so I came across this on a whim and was not disappointed! It might make you cry at one part (I sure did) but it's definitely worth the watch. I'm not visually impaired but I do have a bit of a hearing problem so I kinda relate to the general idea of the story line. The plot was amazing and it might even give you a few ideas on how to defend yourself when needed. lol From the beginning I was pretty much hooked and the ending was so sweet

A great thriller/suspense movie! I really enjoyed this. The entire mood and setting of the movie is just great. It really grabs your attention and you're pretty much at the edge of your seat. The actors were great and the music really helps create the right kind of mood. I would definitely be able to re-watch it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre of movie.

I watched this movie because of 2PM at first because they say that their song will be like OST or something but later I found out Yoo Seungho is the actor and decided to watch this.

Okay first of all I think it's scary so I don't really like it. BUT I still think the story is quite good. No I think it's great ! Only some scary scene that I hate. But also I think the scary scene really gives the thrill.

I think the actors/actress acting is great and so natural. I should give the a big applause !

Music.. Okay I'm a little disappointed with this cause I think there will be 2PM song but.... NOTHING'S THERE. I never really understand movie's song cause most are instrumental but I think the music goes well with the movie so I should say it's great

I WON'T REWATCH IT. EVER. cause it's scary. But it's not bad. Really. But I'm just too scary to rewatch this .___. I close my eyes on most of the scene so I won't rewatch this.

Overall I'm not really enjoying this movie but I don't think it's a bad movie.. Only the scary part .__.
Maybe you should watch this if you don't hate scary movie. But I should say it's not really scary .__.

Tu me fuis, je te suis.
