I have been looking for this piece since last year. Been looking for yonghwa comeback drama. Not even fan of actor  Jung Yonghwa but adore him as singer song writer. But The Package definitely turn me into actor Jung Yonghwa fan. People would say I might be biased but no. When it's comes to drama I even drop yh MHIYD . From summary alone I find nothing would appeal me aside France as their cinematography..  but guess what the first two episode already caught my attention with Maroo character.. Soso (LYH) whom had been said as bad actress.. I find her acting fine. And I even look others her works after TP. and definitely the prejudice they give to her not doing the justice. As story grow, every others characters grows too. Everyone have their turn to narrate and audience being direct to look at everyone perspective story. No such common second lead syndrome unrequited love and such. Even the main lead romance seem so relevance.. there's enough spices making this drama one the best drama I ever had in my kdrama plate. Chemistry all cast has been excellent. No such really protagonist character. Finally.  Writer nim doing excellent job in storyline so do the music director. Their ost goshhh. My favs of all times. I love how they highlight communication and trust is needed in building strong relationship.. be it family, spouse, friend and gf bf... this is such a healing drama with lil bit of humor and romance sparks in between. I've lots to say but it will take the whole space here. So, do watch ?

If Hyperion was a low-budget kdrama romcom filmed in France (alternatively, Red Herring Country)

As far as travel fling stories go, this one is pretty good. Not only is the OTP couple fun, but also all the main characters, everyone participating in the package tour were very interesting (at least interesting after a while) & well acted. Also I found the realistic portrayal of sex for a 2017 kdrama quite unexpected. The only love triangle in the drama is more of a Red Herring than anything else, so yes love triangle haters can safely watch this.++

It would have taken minuscule effort to fix the script & create something remarkable. Unfortunately for a pre-produced drama the story sure doesn't seem to be particularly well written, or consistent. Just a minor change in the timeline would have removed the completely unnecessary ugliness from the OTP relationship. If I look at this realistically, it sure looks more than a bit horrible. At the early episodes ML is still in a relationship with the supposed love of his life that may have betrayed him, but he DOESN'T YET know that, they are basically in a quarrel. If I wanted to be mean I could say, that the whole plot is kind of like "We were on a break & then I fell in love with the copy-place girl, BUT IT'S FINE, because LATER I've learned that Rachel is Hitler." it's okay to completely fall for your rebound, but not like this, I don't think.

France sure is beautiful & luckily The Package works fine as a travel show as well. Though the cinematography is a bit strange. It's like the crew had no time to properly set up the scenes & think about how to effectively use some of the prettiest landscapes in the world. The end result is still gorgeous, but the photography is just whelming.

There were some very - ehm - creative product placements. As dumb as the "my friend needs these, he's lonely" sounds for a Peepee enlarger product placement, it's still better then the usual "everyone being sick all the time feeding each other cold medicines mouth to mouth" & whatnot.

#rant on
I'm sick and tired of the whistleblower cliche. I mean sure okay, whistle-blowing about embezzlement & then getting burned, because Korea is a corrupt sh***ole is not fun to watch, but that's at least somewhat in the realm of reality, right? However using African citizens as guinea pigs and then tens of random white collar workers covering it up like this is just too much. You need to be a special kind of psychopath to cover up potential mass murder this way.
Also have you guys noticed the trend how in kdramas completely unreasonable love can succeed, but whistleblowers never do. It's almost as if BigChaebol is paying for these educational lessons, as unlikely and stupid this conspiracy theory appears to be.
It's just too difficult to justify why this plot is in the drama, there is no real benefit, it could've been easily replaced with something more realistic. (like she cheated, she was forgiven & then has not shown up at the airport, because reasons)
#rant off

The ending is not nearly as bad as I have thought it would be. Of course there is the totally dumb, illogical separation, but the presentation is somewhat beautiful, it's not a complete blowout like in most kdramas. Overall I would rate the final episode at 6/10, which is certainly far above average, there are countless far better kdramas with hugely worse endings.

This is the first time in my kdrama watching carrier that I liked Yoon Park in a role. He is typically the teary-eyed second lead that ruins the drama for me. I never though he is not a good actor, but he really drew the short straw as far as typecasting goes, I wish he had more roles like this!

7.5/10 is a bit high for this drama, but considering how unique it is, it's probably justifiable. Every kdrama addict should watch this, eventually.

Traveling abroad to find ourselves

I like it a lot.

With France as the background, with music, landscapes and monuments, we follow some tourists in a journey of culture, love, finding themselves and the others. Is there a destiny in our lives? Do we really know the one that is traveling with us or waiting on the other side?

The story or stories are interesting, all the couples have struggles and got me curious to know more and to root for a good ending. They all have flaws, but all of them are good people.
It was written to give us only a part of the picture so we didn’t know what to think… Who is the guy chasing her? Is the future wife and mother having an affair?
There are some loose ends, some decisions that didn’t make sense because of the way the characters personality were deliver, but it is not important in the story.

France is so big and with lot of cultural sites. The only thing that I thought was lacking was the French way of life and the current history.

ACTING- was very very good.

MUSIC – love that kind of French music, and even the Korean songs were nice.

REWATCH – I know the ending and I already visit France. But some parts are beautiful, so maybe I could revisit some scenes.

OVERAll – I like it and I recommend this drama. I understand the ending, but I don’t understand why they keep doing always the same. Couldn’t they have wrapped it up better? Did it take much to have a minute or two more? Felt short and wasn’t necessary.

Healing and Adventurous

paris!!! who doesn't love paris??? it will make you appreciate the beauty of this foreign country and will make you crave for the bread that they are eating lol. at first, it would be boring and you might want to stop watching this but keep on watching. what i like about this kdrama series is each of the character has a story that is heart-warming. it shows how everyone has their own burden and will help you appreciate, analyze and understand things you don't understand.

its ending is cute and heart-warming. open ended in a way yet full of hope. also, there are scenes that will make you inspire to always do the right things despite the world that is not telling you to do so.

life is wort it living so do what you can today. love yourself and experience the things you want to experience.

I enjoyed this drama a lotttt. It was a light drama and a beautiful one too. When I first read the synopsis I don't know if I would like it. but it turns out very fun, and very interesting. I'm not really curious what will happen in the next episode, but I really want to know each of the character backstory. The cinematography was AMAZINGGGG, maybe because I haven't been to France, but the drama makes it looks really beautiful. It makes me feel like I was part of the package tour too, enjoying the beautiful scenery. I love the osts too, it was very umm soothing for me. Towards the end I feel like it was getting bored but luckily it was only 12 episodes, so I enjoyed it towards the very end. The acting was okay though I feel like the female lead acting was awkward at times. anyways, give this a watch guys, for me it feels so soothing and calming wile watching this drama.

Eccezionale.
