Set somewhere around 2020 AD, Yesterday is the story of a reunified Korea, suddenly plagued by a spate of brutal murders of top scientists. Whoever is performing the killings is a highly-skilled paramilitary operative, familiar with government protocols and a wide array of military hardware. As the police dig deeper into the mystery, evidence of a secret government project and subsequent cover-up comes to light, and suddenly the cops are looking for a team of crack government-trained secret operatives instead of a serial killer. I adore Kim Sun Ah and I promised myself that I will watch everything with her in the cast.

So I gave Yesterday a try and fell a sleep in the middle. That's not very promising, but to be fair I watched it in the morning to write decent review as no one done it so far.

Movie is placed in futuristic times, where people working for SWAT can catch criminals with all sorts of modern equipment, but that not mean they can catch criminals without logic, sadly writers thought viewers are stupid and did it anyhow. Cheery on the top was mysterious spirit appearances. Sunny is not even main character unfortunately she's just running in the background looking pretty :D

Overall movie is bad, story is really illogical and too obvious to begin with. I won't watch it again that's for sure. If you don't believe me try to stay awake during the show.

The absolute highlights are undoubtedly the action scenes. Semi-realistic but still very sweaty, especially the long shootout between a special unit and gangsters in the middle is really high class. In complete contrast, however, it is the disappointing end, in which neither the action nor the very poor resolution of history can convince. Of course Yesterday, with its confusing content, is not the great success. Thanks to the somber basic score and lots of successful action, however, it has many interesting aspects to show in order not to alienate fans of the genre.
