Ask MDL: Myths, Legends and Imaginary Worlds Set in Kyoto, the film revolves around a shikigami (summoned magical spirit) who presents himself as a yakuza magician named Mr. Abe as he does battle against the evil and greed of modern society. Aided by an army of psychic children, he enlists the help of a lazy mooch named Shinsuke and a homeless hallucinogenic mushroom addict named Tsutomu. He tasks them with tracking down a man named Terada who murdered the staff of a personal loan company as a teenager and seems to attract dark energy. Edit Translation
