Mr. Lin and Ms. Lin are the number one and number two in the field. They are neither friends nor enemies, but they ultimately join hands along with trusty assistant Le Qi as they track down an infamous thief who has stolen the 'Heavenly Emperor's Hand'. Unbeknownst to them, they become the common target in a manhunt by the European triads, the CIA and many other agencies.

This movie was CHEESY AF. I think the director/actors were in on how bad it was, and made a goofy movie... like snakes on a plane. The story made sense, but there are many plot holes that leave you asking questions.

I remember one fight scene that was pretty good, but most of them were hard to follow, not because there was shaky cam or anything, but the camera didn't quit follow the action correctly. The whole end scene was such horrible green screen. Maybe watching it in theater made it look worse. At least the whole story made sense. The whole movie was pretty light hearted. Would be a decent movie to watch with friends so that they could laugh at how awful some scenes are.

I have not seen any of the other raider movies, so I'm not sure how they compare.

This is a quarity job as an anti-CIA parody for China. Politically mature audiences may accept this as a sort of alternative to 007 espionage films in the past. In addition, his filmmaking techniques far outnumber Taiwanese filmmakers in all respects today. A successful cinematic co-operation between Mainland and Hong Kong! It's a visual mess, and worse, it pulls all your emotional blows with no room to react when an important character falls on the count and an inevitable afterword of filling in gaps to come. It got even worse by the way other films in the series came out of mediocrity - or at least sent the audience home smiling - with big submissions, while it just shows that what made Hong Kong the world's adventure capital action now seems to be in rather scarce. The best thing I can say about it is that it inspired me to track down "Tokyo Raiders," which may not be great but excites more features than this movie does.
