Police officer Toru leads a somewhat unfulfilled life working as a detention center guard, even performing live shows with his blues band inside the detention center. One day, Toru is promoted to detective, a position he has long desired, and questions Emiko, a victim of a series of burglaries. However, as Emiko desperately denies being a victim, Toru begins to feel both personal interest and a strange sense of empathy...
