Korean laws are crazy!

If all of this is really what the penal system is like in Korea, it explains why corruption is rampant throughout the country. Korean Police seem to be treated with no respect and the laws allow it. Their pay is so low they’re practically begging for cops to be corrupt and we all know money is everything there. It’s also always completely boggled my mind how lenient their criminal punishments are. The way the system is set up it’s like their just asking for crime level to occur. Their are some things I like that they’re allowed to do like the leniency they’ve got for warrants. However, were that leniency here in the US, police corruption would be even worse than it already is. I like the way their legal system is setup (judges, prosecutors, etc.) and I love that their gun laws result in many emergency doctors rarely, if ever, have seen and/treated bullet wounds firsthand. I think it’s hilarious how their shows blur out knives but not guns. 🤷‍♀️Oh! And children under 14 not being able to be charged for certain crimes?! Madness! Especially with how bad the bullying is in Korea. Having laws like that in the US would lead to the wild Wild West all over again lol
