Jeong Ho, a head of big family including old mother, wife Mrs. Kim, and 6 children, is in difficulties to support his family due to his crippled body by arthritis. To help her father, Hwang Suk assists her mother's day work at the same time grows to be a she-sailor who fishes on a boat. As Jeong Ho goes to Cheju Island to find a job, Hwang Suk takes on a fishing boat with her brother Min Su. But when her father comes back unexpectedly, her boat is disposed. Police officer Jeong buys a 0.9-ton-boat to Hwang Suk who is disappointed. She defeats difficulties such as engine trouble and comes back with full of fish.
