It brings a realistic depiction of the atrocities committed during the second world war. The story is told through the heart-wrenching romance between an American pilot who crash lands in China and the widow who saves her.
After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the American government has ordered an air strike on Tokyo. Having completed their mission and completely depleted of gas, Captain Jack Turner and his team make an emergency landing in Zhejiang Province. Ying Zi and her daughter find an unconscious Jack Turner and saves him in spite of the dangers that it can spell for themselves should the Japanese soldiers find out. From total strangers, the two eventually develop a relationship that crosses cultural and language barriers. Add Synopsis In Spanish

The chinese widow seems like a promising movie. At first, the acting isn't that good and the CGI are awful but bareable. The scenes at the Chinese country side and the leading lady's life was interesting and eye catching. However, the story isn't as good as it should have been. Or, at least, the movie didn't excecute it well enough. The romance was quick and the ending even quicker. Actually, the ending was really bad. At least, some of the performances were good, but not all of them. So, 5 out of 10, because it was watchable but not as good as it should have been.
