This drama is a cool, sophisticated, funny and some-what heart-warming drama. I haven't seen the US version so I can't compare the two and I'm not really a fan of law dramas but I gave this one a go purely for Park Hyung-sik.

He delivered in this drama as expected. It was nice to see him play a more serious role than his previous roles in Strong Girl Bong Soon, High Society and Hwarang. Of course there were still moments when he would act cute or funny in this drama but it was mostly serious. The fact he was able to memorise all those law stuff garjon was also quite impressive in itself.
He also had great chemistry with his co-lead Jang Dong Gun (Choi Kang Seok).

Choi Kang Seok was 90% serious through out the drama but when he's with Yun Woo, he gave off a softer character that made him likeable and their bromance just shined. Even though they have a boss/mentee relationship, towards the end it felt more like an older brother & younger brother relationship that gave the ending an overall very heart-warming feel.

The story itself, I thought was well written. It was simple to follow and it didn't feel like it dragged on at all. It was also fun to watch how Kang Seok and Yun Woo solved cases. Although in some scenes towards the middle episodes, it felt like Yun Woo would suddenly shine and show his badass genius lawyer skills but then it turned out to be the opposite so it felt underwhelming. It wasn't until the end that Yun Woo really showed his full lawyer awesomeness but it was worth the wait.

The romance side of the drama was very minimal but enough to add some interest to it. Yun Woo and Ji Na had great chemistry too and even though it's just a glimpse of romance, it didn't feel rushed at all and had a good build-up to it as well. On the other hand, Ji Na could've done with a bit more of a character build-up but nonetheless her character added a lot to the drama. I thought the ending was also very well done. It was fast paced but everything was concluded really well. It was also very emotional and unexpectedly brought me to tears.

The OST is also pretty decent for a law drama. I've saved a couple to my playlist already. Some of them like 'Now' by Vromance definitely added that 'cool, badass lawyer' vibes to some scenes . And I just have to mention 'You in My Dreams' by Mamamoo because it's just so beautiful.

Overall, I think this is a really great drama. Although it's based off the American TV show, it definitely held its own with it's well written story line, casting, production and OST. It's a good drama to watch if you're not into melodramas and instead want a cool, different drama than the norm. It has the right balance of seriousness, fun and romance so you definitely won't get bored. And if you're a fan of Hyung-sik then you should definitely, most definitely watch this as it shows another side to his incredible acting capabilities.

SO COOOOLL!!

***********************************it's so cool! I regret that I didn't watch it before! If you are into cool stuffs, investigative, crime drama, you're in a right place!! the casting is really fit to the characters. I hope there will be a season 2! Justice for their romantic relationships, and their bromance!! Also, the cinematography was nice! It's a little bit different from American series but I like the Korean version! It really deserve to have a season 2, we need to know what will happen to Yeon woo and Mr. Choi. If there is a similar drama, it will be Vincenzo, like it's still entertaining even if there is no romance in this drama.*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Suits was a well directed ,written and performed drama. I haven’t watched to much of the original American series only a few episodes but from what I know they were able to rap 3 seasons of writing into one and the storyline still flowed without rush. I am a huge fan of legal dramas and this one killed it. Huge hand to park hyung sik who always makes me love what he watches. Every role was casted perfectly and the characters were in sync throughout the series. Big hand to the directing for making every thing cut clean from movements to snarky remarks. The screenplay was great and the soundtrack made it worth while, if you are holding back because it’s a remake please don’t, the performances are too good to be held back on. Watch it!

I usually stay away from giving Kdramas a rating of 10 because reviewers may think one is over exaggerating how the drama was. So in my opinion I'm not exaggerating, lol.

I saw the US preview when it first aired but never watched the series because here in the US shows have a tendency of getting canned right off the block and I didn't want to get hooked if that happened. When I saw on each Korean episode that this was loosely based off the American version I went to check and was surprised to see that US version actually lasted for 9 seasons. So with that being said I can't compare the two because I've only watched the Korean version.

I fairly enjoyed each and every episode and all of the cast members except the true antagonist who came into the series midway through. I won't lower my rating even though the series took a different turn from from episode 5 and on and how the antagonist was thrown in. I think his character was just thrown in just to stretch out the series.

Every episode had me grinning from ear to ear and the last two had me fighting back some tears. I love love love dramas that have the capability of getting every last emotion out of me.
I was a bit bummed because it stated it had action in it but sadly enough there was no action in none of the episodes. Before anybody disagrees, my definition of action is fighting scenes, car chases, that sort of thing but I guess some of these dramas that state action means someone doing something.

I also loved the two male lead's chemistry. To me it was like the best father and son duo ever. I love how Koreans can get along with each other without worrying about age differences.

As usual I always comment on the last episode because to me that brings closure to the whole series if it's done right. I can't complain about how it ended as oppose to the other endings of drama series I've watched. I wanted a tiny bit more of justice being served but I had to take what I can get.

All in all, this was a good series to watch for me.

THE best drama of the year. Such a brilliant plot and the cast did extremely well in portraying their characters????. The crew did an amazing job in winding up all the loose ends at the end and never disappointed us nor did they reduce the suspension through out the drama. The lead actors especially ?Park Hyung Sik and Jang Dong-gun did a brilliant job portraying the true bromance between sunbae and hoobae. ? This was one of my all time favourites????. Hope to see 7 seasons of this drama????

Great actors but decrease the watch value for its flawed story

Let me first mention some of the lines from this drama that set me clear to a realization of the essence of the court from a layman's perspective.

"Love that surrendered to principle and duty."
"Winning all battles doesn't make you great. What makes you great is when you make the enemy succumb without fighting."
"A trial isn't a means to decide who's right and wrong. It's a means to choose who's being more convincing within the boundaries of the law."

Sadly, this drama failed to meet my expectations. It became uninteresting because of repetitive scenarios every time a new case was assigned. The legendary lawyer got to handle it assisted by his prodigy, then the prodigy's emotional sensibility would get in the way to complicate the case. and in critical moments he would come up with a better solution to fix it. The flow of the story was so flat and didn't heighten my excitement about what to expect next. I didn't like the character of Park Hyung Sik here, an arrogant young man with a special memory recall ability, stubborn with the decision that put him in trouble most of the time and bothered by his weakness bearing an identity of a fake lawyer. I guess I'm just used to seeing lead actors portraying a strong impressive personalities with a small spot of weaknesses. Nevertheless, all the actors acted brilliantly having Jang Dong Gun leading the outstanding cast, and the English song played often in the drama was a perfect choice.

Despite my disappointment in this drama, I've learned a few things from it, informational in the aspect of the law and court proceedings that made me grasp my pen and take a few notes.

If you have watched the original series, you can't help but compare the two together, in this case, I thought the adaptation could have been done much better. Maybe I really loved the US version too much and my mind wasn't as objective as it could have? possibly but it's still a shame, I really wanted to love this show but 5 episodes was as far as I could take it.
Does this mean the show is bad? NO, does this mean they did not do a good job in the cast? NO, it's just that I could not relate as much as I could of the original.

Not all adaptations are successful, look at "Good Doctor", I absolutely love the Korean version and really don't like the US remake.

I might give this another shot as some stage but for now, you're going to the back of the bus.

As someone who has seen 2 seasons of the original Suits I cannot say that this remake was better or superior than it's predecessor. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the acting from both PHS and JDG as well as the storyline, so I can't knock this series entirely. Although you may find some aspects of Suits boring, it picks itself up and really powers itself to the end with vigor.
One of the most endearing aspects of the show is watching Yeonwoo and Kang Seok's relationship develop into a fruitful bromance and I can say this is what binds the show together and makes it that much more compelling to watch. The biggest factor that made me want to continue watching was how it took the cases from the original and molded it so that it fit Korean culture as well as bringing an unique spin to every situation, allowing viewers of the American Suits to feel that they weren't just watching a scene-by-scene copy of the original. Every episode has a take home message and displays the morals of every person in the show, as a lesson to viewers and I really appreciate the dedication to detail with the quotes and the consistency of the story writing. Perhaps a Season 2 is unlikely in K-drama world but I definitely would not be against the prospects of one if it is as fun as Season 1.

I haven’t seen the American series of this drama so I don’t have to match the characters with their American counterparts. The good part is, the remake taste the same flavor as Kdrama though they said the story isn't too far from the original.

Honestly, I am not into “law series drama”, but I was kinda like it. I can say that Suits shows really a good battle of words and strategy that comes along the survival of what is right and wrong. It is indeed hard to be a lawyer, much more to become a righteous one.

Throughout the episodes, they keep a balance between issues with a different theme to be solved and characters development. Chemistry wise among the Main Cast is totally catchy. They play out individually but as one and made their character into their own. And of course, the rest of the cast was also fun to watch, I didn’t find any dull moment as they blended with each other quietly.

Suits offers you an interesting plot, good cast, well-developed story, heartwarming romance and the beauty of justice and loyalty.

Took a while to get into but loved it overall

I am a huge Park Hyung sik fan and I've seen SWDBS probably 100 times, which led me to Hwarang and The Heirs. I loved the American version of Suits and got so excited the PHS would be playing Mike Ross's character.

Acting was top notch! PHS, JDG and the other actors (except for Ji-Na) do not dissapoint. PHS's acting was so different from SWDBS but so fitting and believable. I must admit though that it took me so many tries and dropped it so many times because it was a bit boring at the start. I tried it again since it's now on Netflix, while on lockdown and guess what, I enjoyed it! I call them my officemates. Oh boy I miss going to the office and dressing up in business attire.. but I digress

The story is similar to the American version so the cases are familiar. I also got annoyed at the start at how GYW made all those mistakes but it did tie up towards the end. The changes that the Korean version made were fitting for the story that they were trying to tell.

Don't count on a love story because there was zero chemistry between YW and Jina haha. But that's fine because I came from the bromance and there was definitely chemistry between Atty Choi and YW. Similar to the Harvey Mike tandem that I loved.

Overall, i enjoyed this series. I loved seeing PHS in a suit and all his facial expressions. I cried towards the end and the ending was satisfying. Must watch!
