Ji Ye is brought to the water prison, where he remembers the torture he and his mother endured. Princess Ying Yu helps him get his revenge so long as he agrees to be her slave and train with the Li army. Gui Chen and Yu Ran see a much altered Ji Ye, which distresses Yu Ran immensely. The royal family funds sent to Wu Yi have been replaced with bricks. Hence Wu Yi decided to stay in the capital to raise capital for his army expenditures.
