"Mother Lake" is a fantasy-style drama depicting a boy's summer adventure and family revival. In  adjuvant we have the photographer Ryosuke Fujii returned to Lake Biwa  in his hometown in 2036, facing the model of the dinosaur. Twenty  years ago, Ryosuke, 11, is struggling to find "biwasshi" with his best  friend ... Lake Biwa, Japan's largest freshwater lake; The idea is interesting, the performance is not so much fun, it has an  air of joviality and a freshness when watched, the cast is great, the  soundtrack too, when the story unfortunately does not have enough power  to let its mark.
"Mother Lake" may present a direct concept, but the execution is not  anticipated: this is a much less interested film about the creature than  the storyline revolves around what the characters at the heart of the  story.
The nostalgic recreation of a childhood summertime hunt unknown at Lake Biwa of Japan is especially attractive. Only disadvantage is the lethargic rhythm and the lack of narrative motivation tend to wear off the patience of the viewer. Still, it's a delicate and evocative movie that meets expectations and is worth looking at if you're in the mood.
