Song Xuanren hopes to make up for Fengjiu by rewarding her. Fengjiu rejects. The Empress becomes confused whether Fengjiu is simply innocent or cunning. The new Eunuch defends for Fengjiu, saying that he believes Fengjiu and Xuanren are truly in love with each other. Chu Wan is sick, so Xuanren and Fengjiu visit her. The doctor has no idea what causes the sickness, and reckons Chu Wan’s pulse is strange. Chu Wan notices the way Xuanren lovingly treats Fengjiu, begins to be jealous. Xuanren brings Fengjiu to the tomb of past Kings, and shows her the traps inside. Fengjiu recognizes the Lingbi Stone, thinking that it looks similar to the the soul-locking jade.
